La Crosse Technology 308-27937-INT Wireless Color Weather Station with Bonus Display, Black

I had an older La Crosse weather station, and the outdoor sensor finally stopped working after 6 1/2 years. I decided to try this newer model, and I am very pleased with it. It was very easy to set up and sync with the outdoor sensor. It has features the older model lacked, including barometric pressure, showing the moon phase, available heat index, and the bonus unit that shows indoor and outdoor temperature and indoor humidity at a distance from the outdoor sensor. The display on the main unit is very easy to read. I wish the bonus unit had a backlight, but that's a very minor issue. I recommend this weather station highly.

My husband purchased this with a gift card he received for his birthday. The display is easy to read and I appreciate the different colors to easily find the information I’m looking for. Great quality, performance, and brightness. Easy to setup.

This station works very well, and has a nice display. I have had a couple of problems that block a 5 star rating. The WWV time signal is weak. I get a connection, but once it changed the time zone, and once it changed the year to 2035 so I turned it off. Also, the unit seems to pickup neighboring sensors without my searching for them, and I have to delete them.

I almost gave up on this lacrosse weather station because the temp was so inaccurate. When the suns light hits the temperature sensor it will give inflated temperature readings. Save yourself a headache and purchase the sensor shield. After lots of trial and all error I finally bought one from La Crosse because there are not many options to choose from. I ended up mounting it to the west side of my house because my house blocks the sun for the first half of the day and my neighbor house provides shade for the last half of the day. It now is accurate within 2 or three degrees. I like having the moon phase is pretty cool. It seems mostly accurate for predicting rain and all I have is the temp sensor.

Product is very easy set up compared to my older 20 year unit, The color is Bright and the Data is easy to see even after waking up in the morning.

The data on the weather station is very clearly displayed and easy to read. I read that the viewing angle isn't very good, but I had no troubles with it. It is plenty bright.It is missing any kind of trend indicators for temperature changes, but that is easy to do without. It does have a trend indicator for air pressure. I find it annoying that the air pressure graph is animated. I'd rather it just display it rather than clearing that part of the display and animating pressure history. It is distracting and unnecessary.Unfortunately, the designers designed it with exacting power requirements. If you put in freshly charged rechargeables, it will show the battery as being almost exhausted. It doesn't function as well on rechargeables, either.I'm returning the device, though, because the internal temperature displays "HI" with a humidity of 99%. I got it cleared out once by unplugging it and replugging it in. But, that only worked once. Manufacturer support replied to my question telling me to use alkalines, even though I had it plugged in. And, yes, I've tried alkalines.

This is a great instrument to keep up with weather conditions inside and out.

Purchased this unit, set up, worked great for about 2 weeks, then the numbers and letters started to break up, returned it, received a new one, same result in about the same time frame, returned that one also, and took a refund. I have had good luck with La Crosse Technology products in the past, have to say I'm disappointed. When it worked it was easy to read and accurate.
