You Like Me, Not My Daughter?! (Manga) Vol. 2

Bucking A Major Trope
Thank goodness it only took two volumes but Ayako and Takumi are a couple. I wasn't sure if this was going to be one of those series that endlessly circles whether will it won't they. Now the major question remains will it work.So far You Like Me Not My Daughter has been an incredibly sweet Rom com. I am kind of surprise by the minimal fan service with a title like that. Not that I'm complaining. It a very sweet almost slice of life series so far. The supporting cast all are amazing wingmen so far too. I'll be rooting for you too. -MickManga

One of my favs!
I like the progression and the characters are taking on dimension. Not like a lot of similar themed manga , where there's one misunderstanding after another that prevents things from progressing normally; the progression is actually kinda what would be expected in this situation. I'm really looking forward to the next volumes!

A funny book
I want a column three. Will she marry him? Will her confidant try to steal him? Will her daughter try to steal him?

It’s disgusting, but I can’t look away
Volume 1 dropped the ‘bombshell’ that the college boy who tutors Ayako’s daughter is into her, not her daughter. I know. I was shocked too. Ayako is slowly coming to grips with her feelings, but disappointingly there’s not really much progress in volume two. Wait. Disappointingly? Are we rooting for them now?? Yes, there’s a point in this book where I actually started hoping they’d get together, which shocked even me. The foundation of their relationship is pretty gross, but if you squint really hard, and ignore all the flashbacks, they’re a cute couple in the present. I’m disgusted, but intrigued at the same time. It’s kind of like watching those ‘National Geographic’ videos where a big cat… a cougar, for example, stalks and kills its prey – then just sits there chewing on the carcass for 10 long, uncomfortable minutes. In volume 2 we’re still in the stalking phase, but we all know where this is going. I’m invested at this point to see how things play out.

Cute lady with low confidence 2
These books are one of those fluffy slice of life must haves. You will love(and sometimes be frustrated) with the protagonist lady. The books came as pristine. Although I'd say it's overpriced.
