You'll never find flex that really looks like the old stuff (yes I do remember it well) but which meets modern safety standards. But this is very close in appearance, although black rather than brown as was often then the case back in the day. The only real negative: because the individual cores are pvc-clad (hidden by the braiding) they are not as flexible as the rubber (or even silk) in the old days and it's difficult to get all the kinks out - a heat gun will help once you've got it where you want it. I use it with a couple of Vintage Industrial Hanging Lights I bought from amazon a few years ago (may not still be available, sadly) and it looks the business, so much better than the flex they come with. Great value for this quantity, too.

3 core, blue brown yel/grn cable, a little stiff wanting to retain its rolled up packaging state...to get a perfectly straight pendant cable will need a heat gun but aside from that its perfect

The cable was not has described so we had to improvise. We dad to buy weights because the cable was rolled up when we got it it wouldn't lie straight other than that it was ok

Arrived damaged, it was obviously slashed with a Kno after wrapping, multiple cuts along the length in the same location before unwrapping

I used this to rewire a two fixture, upright, mid-century lamp. This is a we bit thicker than some, similar products. I used this plastic "device" I own, that is used to pull the tie string back through my sweatpants when I have pulled one end too far, to pull wire through a narrow-ish section of the lamp, leading off to the fixture proper. And that made everything easy-peasy.The wire seems very sturdy and very attractive and appropriate to the era or style of my lamp. The length should be sufficient for just about any household need.I'm very pleased with my purchase. The light coming from the fixtures is noticeablely brighter than before the re-wiring.(the old wires were cracking, totally unsafe)

Used this for a vintage barn-wood kitchen light. Perfect for this application, and looks authentic!
