Take your time!!!
I must agree with other statements. "professional grade material"This will be my second wrap job. I chose green chrome mirror finish for my first try and I failed miserably. I did learn a lot from my first go round. For your first try I would choose something more forgiving like not chrome :pOnce you recieve your vinyl, I strongly suggest that you unroll it and lay it on the ground for an hour or so. It's way easier to work with when it wants to stay flat like a sheet of paper.1st precut your shape. Do not remove adhesive backing yet!(I left about 6 inches overhang all round) use painters tape or magnets to help if you're by yourself.2nd take your time... I watched many other videos and I kinda made my own style. This is something that's gonna require patients. All in all this job took me 2 hours and 45 mins. I did this all by myself. You CAN do it too!Against what others say give your vinyl 3 days to settle after your job is complete. I saw a few tiny bubbles disappear...GOOD LUCK!

Not the fault of Amazon or vvivid themselves just my personal opinion.
So this review is to pretty much bring awareness to anyone who's looking to purchase this carbon fiber wrap. let me first start off by saying that this was my own personal fault for not doing enough research on the Vinyl prior to buying it not the fault of vvivid themselves or Amazon. The material I worked with was absolutely terrible it was extremely hard to pull off of my car and extremely difficult to squeeze you down and when I tried to pull it off it ended up tearing the paint off of my vehicle because the adhesive on the back of the wrap was a lot more aggressive than what you would get from traditional 3M or Avery wrap my advice to you is to never purchase this or any vinyl wrap through Amazon spend the extra money and buy the proper material such as Avery or 3M even teckwrap has amazing material you can work that's not nearly as aggressive to work with better than this with myself being new at this allows me to learn from my mistake and bring awareness to those who plan on buying this or any other wrap on Amazon purchase at your own risk. Sometimes it doesn't hurt to spend a little more to get better quality especially if you plan on making this a long-term career make sure to always educate yourself on all the material you are buying prior to your purchase.

Works wonderfully
This product works as advertised. It looks good and was a breeze to apply to my hood which is thankfully quite flat. Just a note: As with any project the success or failure begins with preparation, proper tools, and skill. If anyone is trying to apply a wrap to an unprepared or damaged surface there will be issues. You need the proper applicator and heat gun for certain curves but more than anything else there is a skill that comes with doing this. If you are going around deep turns, corners, or edges - you might want to get extra material to practice with. Any wrinkles in the vinyl should come out pretty easy with a little heat and stretch (key is "a little"). The pros make it look easy, it isn't.

Not for beginners
I have never installed a wrap before. This was a good price point in case it didnt go well. It did not go well. I attempted to wrap the trunk of my 2002 wrx. I watched many instructional videos but continually got many bubbles even when pulling. I had a heat gun but it didnt seem to help much. I do not blame the company, but blame myself for this mostly. Maybe the trunk had too sharp of an angle making it too difficult for a beginner. I've attached an image of the bubbles I had which weren't the worst, but once I had to go down the back of the trunk it did not look good at all. The only issue i had with the company was the wrap seemed like it had a deep crease upon arrival as showed in the second photo. This did not matter for the final product because I ended up taking it off. The vinyl seems to be good quality, but not for beginners.

Borderline Real, very nice carbon vinyl even for beginners.
Better than 3m 1080 and dinoc, more realistic. You really need to plan what you are wrapping to get the most out of the vinyl. If this is your first time using Vvivid's vinyl (it was my first time using their vinyl) Then you may notice that it's easy to apply and the air release technology is there. However: in some applications I feel like the adhesive is a tad weaker than 3m or oracal, not a huge deal, but it does make a difference in tight corners. This vinyl looks the most realistic at a distance and around curved surfaces. Use the tech art carbon for interiors for the most realistic look. This is great on spoilers, lips, and smaller things. I feel like the bigger the surface area, the less realistic it looks. It has a nice semi gloss coat and mild texture, unlike dinoc/1080. The carbon weave is fantastic, and definitely is high quality. This is my go to carbon vinyl for most projects. Don't hesitate to try it. It's cheaper than most of them out there.

Patience really is a virtue! Take your time!
This is my first ever attempt at doing a hood wrap. Car is a 2015 Subaru Forester XT.I will say that the wrap didn’t turn out completely perfect, but I am not upset with it being my first job...and with only myself. No help.A lot of people we’re complaining about the thickness and how it’s hard to work. Yes it is but I think it’s something that just comes with experience of working with this material. The first 3/4 of the hood flew by and the. I really struggled to get it right afterwards. It took a lot of hearing and restretching.Overall, it’s a good product but if you have no idea what you’re doing...well you’re only out $40 lol. Take your time and don’t rush it!

Great product for the price with one minor issue that can be fixed easily!
Love the VViVid CF Vinyl. Used it for a Miata roof which is VERY round and a tough wrap. Looks great, super strong. Also used Oracal in the same project and the VViVid vinyl is 10x the product. The ONLY concern I have is the tape VViVid uses to package the vinyl rolls. The tape marked up the vinyl where it was attached so I had to toss the first few inches. I wish VViVid would just use masking tape or backing tape instead.

Pattern is different than advertised...
I ordered this product twice hoping to get the forged carbon pattern from the advertisement. I exchanged my first roll and received the same pattern again which doesn't appear to be forged carbon, but some type of textured mini camo print. I don't know if it's the advertisement that is inaccurate, or if these are mislabeled rolls of vinyl, but the pattern is not what I was expecting or hoping for.Pattern discrepancies aside, it's a pretty high quality textured pattern that looks really cool - if you're going for the GI Joe look.

Didn't do it right, Still looks great!
Great results,Cons; either know what you're doing and plan it out, or get help.Pros; looks great even though i screwed it up.The wrap was big enough for a hood of a vehicle or the roof of a car (depending on your car). i ended up having extra.Advice: measure, then add a bit, and trim the excess off AFTER. and use a hair dryer on some of the curvey bits it will help!.

Time tested reviews
Easy to install really depends on personal skill level, but this vinyl has been working out great for the past 2 years without any issues of bubbling or lack of stickiness. Haven't had any issues with the car wash or pressure washing directly on it. Would definitely buy this product again

Excelent quality vinyl.
Excelent vinyl. Easy to work with, and adjust. It was my very first wrap, so it didnt come perfectly, but that is 100% due to my inexperience. The carbon looks almost real. No joke. They did an amazing job on this stuff.Would definitely recommend. I plan to order more in the spring when the rocks stop flying.
