Excellent value
I love this clock. It's bold, elegant and simple. The colour of its face is almost exactly that of the wall on which I've mounted it. The result is that its strong, simple white figures and hands appear almost to be integral to the wall. What more to say - it tells the time and tells it in complete silence while looking great and costing very little. I'd have have given it five stars overall but for one concern which may or not be important - installing the battery needed more pressure than I wanted to give it. I wonder if that pressure, applied a number of times as batteries run out and are replaced, might damage the surround. I guess I'll find out. Great clock, though.

Beautiful looking clock
This is a really stunning looking clock. (My dimly lit photo doesn't do it justice). It even came with a wall mounted hook and metal pins which I wasn't expecting..Small detail... Although it states AAA battery inside the battery chamber, it's a AA battery.

It's absolutely silent, but...
The packaging was very poor. The unit wasn't damaged but it looked like it had been packed by someone who didn't know what they were doing. No box, no "thanks for buying..." leaflet. Just the clock, randomly wrapped in a bunch of bubble wrap. Consequently, as I unwrapped it, I failed to notice a small plastic retaining plate with four sharp nails protruding from it and cut myself quite badly. Blood everywhere. I nearly lost an arm. I mean, it's nice that the proper wall mounting bracket is included, but would it really kill you to push it into a bit of polystyrene for safety? The clock looks nice, even though my partner thinks it's a bit "'80s bedroom", but she's as mad as a bottle of crayons at the best of times. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love her more than words can say, but she is completely xylophone.BUT BY FAR THE MOST ANNOYING THING EVER, is the hour hand is slightly out of sync with the minutes. This is probably just me being madder than the xylophone crayon lady who lives with me, who, as I say, I do nevertheless love very much, but it means that when the time it's exactly on the hour, the hour hand is already out of alignment with the big numbers around the edge, which go from 1 to 12, like a clock.I do, of course, realise this is the very definition of a first world problem — especially what with this Covid-19 thing which Trump called a hoax before Boris Johnson nearly died from it and all the oil became cheaper than free — and on the massive up-side it doesn't tick. The clock that is, not Donald Trump. He just has ticks. What's with people who have clocks that tick when they could have ones like this that don't? I suppose what I'm really getting at is, this is very much a clock. Which doesn't tick. In '80s bedroom red.The end.
