Our Nest battery outdoor cam was eating batteries quickly. Fortunately we had a plug inside the house nearby the cam. This electric cord works perfectly to connect the Nest cam to a plug so that the batteries are no longer needed. It saves us pulling out the ladder and climbing up to replace batteries every couple weeks as well as the cost of the batteries.

I have two nest cameras and I use the Google Home app to use them both in one place. For the most part I don't have much issue. The fact you have to factory reset the camera and set it up again if you change WIFI or even the wifi settings is kinda annoying, the range to the wifi is alright. I literally have mine set 15ft from my router and it's not loading very well. AND don't bother setting up Zones! Nest allows you to outline areas where your camera sees and gives you the option to only get notifications when someone or something walks into the zone. You'll get notifications either way, it'll tell you that there's a person or a car in the Zone but they're no where near it.

It doesn't supply enough power to keep my google nest outdoor battery charged. My camera gets barely enough power to function, but the battery level is zero. I bought this to save money over the google branded charger. Now I have to buy it anyway.

Although it says weather resistant - this will eventually fail as the metal conductors will rust. I had to purchase an outdoor weather resistant casing to place this in so that it can survive for longer. I use mine by plugging it into the other end of my string lights that are attached to a far away plug.

The power cable was easy to set up and works well - even in rainy weather.

I’ve had this charger for about a month and it worked well for about a week. Quickly noticed that my camera wouldn’t work…couldn’t access video was being told the camera is saving battery despite it being plugged in. My camera settings are on all the same default settings the nest camera has and yet was losing battery like crazy. Took camera off the mount to attempt to charge with this charger was told it would take 30hrs 👎🏾 plugged it into the charger it comes with and it was 100% in a few hours. Gave this charger a try again and my freshly charged camera died within 2 ish hours. No longer using it save your money fellow nest cam users.

By plugging in you get 24/7 coverage. With the pay plan. I thought the battery would be enough but it didn’t last as long as I wanted and having the camera plugged in made better logic.
