I often have an occasional cocktail party or small get together at my home, so presentation is important when you have guests over! The design of these plates is really cool. It works awesome for plating dishes and making them shine. The gold rim adds a nice subtle touch. The texture is bumpy, but similar to some popular stoneware out there. Plates feel sturdy and haven't worried about breaking them.

While I prefer to eat off of plain white dishes, I often use unusual or different colored plates for serving/presentation. For me, these plates are excellent for that.They are heavy enough, I like the color, they have a texture, but are easy to clean.5 stars. Good, solid plates at a reasonable price.
