I should say that I do use a mild cleansing soap with these, but I have tried them with just water and they do work. It just takes a bit more work, and I want to do as little scrubbing as possible!WHAT I LOVE:- I bought the black ones, and I love that I’m not staining them.-The little strap! These are small, so it’s a nice feature to avoid dropping them.- They are soft. I notice others have complained about them tugging/dragging at delicate skin, but I didn’t have that issue, perhaps because I thoroughly wet them before use, and as mentioned above, I add a cleansing soap.- I absolutely love that they say, “Makeup Eraser” on them. It doesn’t matter how many times I beg my husband not to use certain cloths for cleaning, because he will eventually forget and use a nice white spa washcloth to clean the toilet. But if it says what it’s for right on it, he’s on board! It seems like a dumb little detail, but it’s probably my favorite thing about these.- No more makeup remover wipes!! Seriously, they are so expensive and do such a poor job. I have tried them all, and they’re really universally lame. And some of them contain irritating or even damaging ingredients. I love being able to pick my own high-quality cleanser & still have a quick, easy removal process.- These came with a little laundry bag! How genius! I keep the bag in a cupboard in the bathroom & once one gets dirty, I just toss it in. That way I don’t have to hunt through a load of laundry every time I want to wash my face.- These are perfect for travel. They take up less space than a pack of makeup remover wipes.WHAT I DON’T LOVE:- I can’t really think of anything. These are exactly as they should be.After I’m done washing my face, I put a little Dawn dish soap on this cloth and scrub it in for 10 seconds or so, then rinse with hot water. I squeeze it out and let it air dry. That way I feel comfortable using one of these 2-3 times before tossing it in the little laundry bag. Easy peasy!To be honest, I was really bad about removing my makeup at night before I got these. I just didn’t like having to scrub at my face with a makeup remover wipe, and it never felt like they got my face very clean anyway. I shower in the mornings, so I usually just talked myself into waiting until showering to wash my face. But it’s so bad for your skin (and your pillowcases!) to sleep in makeup. These would be a great gift for a makeup-loving friend!

At face value, these wipes looked like they could have been an over priced gimmick that at best would just be a wipe I would have to put makeup remover on to see any actual removal - but I was SO wrong. You quite literally only need warm water as it suggests. It's much easier and not as messy to use than my micellar water. Since it's just water you don't get that oily feeling that most removers have and in general it feels like it removes my makeup so easily. I'm just genuinely impressed and so happy to have this is in my bathroom. If you're looking for a gift for a makeup girly this would be such a good one

I love how soft these feel on my face. The warmer the water, the easier to use. They are also well made and not too thin or too thick. I appreciate the laundry bag they come with. My only reason for taking off one star is that they don’t actually get waterproof make up off that well… but honestly I’d have been shocked if it could! Waterproof mascara is no joke! lol. Anyway, I would absolutely recommend though!! An amazing alternative to the wipes full of chemicals!
