Taylor Made Products Dock Cushions, UV Protected Maintenance Free Foam

I purchased this bumper because my dock in my marina is a little short, making it difficult to adequately keep my 24' boat from touching at the bow. With some windy weather, my gelcoat had already gotten a little scuffed when my lines couldn't keep the bow off. I've since moved the lines a bit to improve that, but this cushion gives me peace of mind when I'm docking. Plenty of cushion, but firm enough to prevent damage.It would be nice if it came with screws, but buying them separately at the hardware store wasn't difficult.

Haven't rubbed my boat against them yet but I like the feel and look of these. Not sure how substantial they will be or how well they will hold up to time and abrasion. One caution about mounting instructions: They say to drill a 5/16" hole for mounting them, then go on to say use a 1/4" diameter bolt. Well, do the math; the hole is bigger than the bolt! I did the opposite: drilled a 1/4" hole and used 5/16 x 2.5" lag bolts. (Perhaps they meant drill out the back hole in the bumper with 5/16" drill which I did do because they are not bored all the way thru.) They provide large flat washer for each hole but no bolts. Trickiest part is lining up the bolt with the hole drilled thru the back of the bumper because the flat washer is same size as the larger passage hole in the bumper so you can't really see the bolt go into the back mounting hole; have to sorta feel it until it pushes in.

Does the job. Easy to install.

I loved that these were soft and pretty easy to install. I hate that I grabbed one with the rear corner of my pontoon boat and ot was ripped away from the dock. You get what you pay for. Buy the more expensive Atwood ones that are made of plastic.

These seem to be of very good quality. Easy to install. I'm using it in front of my PWC docking system so we don't hit the wooden side boards when driving the PWC's onto the dock.

Installed vertically on 4'X6' posts. Setting the screws into the post, after installing the posts on the dock was a bit tricky.

Just got it. I will install it next week. The test of time will determine its overall performance and continued sturdiness.

I bought these because our pontoon is in an area where wakes bounce the boat frequently. After a week, one of the bumpers had been whittled down to nothing. Perhaps they're meant to just bounce you if you impact the dock, but they don't work for my use case.

They are very small for the price . Everything looks big in the pictures. Not sure how long they will last . Held in with a screw and washer to a foam bumper. So far it has not fallen off .
