10m Stainless Steel Cable Chain Link in Bulk for Necklace Jewelry Accessories DIY Making 1.5mm

This is beautiful chain. Yes it is very small (1.5mm), but that's what I was looking for. I did have to invest in all new jump rings though because my standard 20 gauge did not fit. I can get 22 gauge to fit if I'm patient (it's like threading a needle), but prefer 24 gauge.This is the prettiest stainless steel chain I've ever seen. It literally sparkles. Most SS chain I see is kind of dark, but the sparkle on this makes it look bright. Not as bright as sterling silver, but perfect for what I needed.I've ordered 5 rolls of this so far and it's all been consistent in quality. Another reviewer mentioned that it snagged on clothes and hands, but I have not had that problem. It's very strong, but delicate.It does not come on a roll. I don't know why people keep complaining that it's supposed to, but doesn't. The pictures don't show any spools, but maybe they used to? It comes on a card in a little plastic zip. I haven't had any problems with tangling. When not in use, I wrap it back around the card and store it in the ziploc.Overall, great quality chain. Can't go wrong.

Initially, I was concerned that this would be a cheap chain like those used for children's jewelry, but I was VERY pleasantly surprised! I had to get my husband to cut this very fine, beautifully shiny chain with his beefy wire cutters, because my "weak, girl hands" as he calls them, could only scratch it. I even took a length of it and tried valiently to pull it apart, but it won, and it nearly cut my hands where I had it wrapped around them. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed with this excellent, professional quality chain.I purchased it to replace the cheap chain that came with my $25 ornate pendant watch. I used two strands, and I have absolutely no concern that it will ever break and I could lose my pretty pendant watch that I also purchased at Amazon.If some nasty crook tries to pull it off my neck, I fear for my neck, not my pendant watch!This is absolutely a no-worries purchase, and I'll be doing business with this company again.By the way, I paid full-price for this lovely, delicate-looking, but not delicate-performing beautiful chain, and I don't know a soul at the company that provided it.

I've purchased 3.5 x 5 for bracelet extenders the loops are plenty big enough for the lobster clasp to hook through, I also purchased 1.5 because I trusted this company and I wasn't disappointed it's perfect for a dainty look bought for necklaces and earrings.I misplaced the first chain I bought a couple years back which I've now found and it's good as new.

The 3.2mm links make a substantial chain. This size is definitely not delicate. However, if you use it for men's jewelry or for more prominent pendents/charms/beads, this size is appropriate. The only thing I wish for improvement is the number of clasps. 10 is not enough for the length unless I only make long necklaces. If you want to make shorter necklaces (18/20 inch) and/or bracelets, you have to buy more clasps. The size of the clasps fits the size of the chain though.

The 1.5 mm is quite fine/delicate, and looks more "luxe" and "silvery" than the 2.5, which I think is totally fine for more casual looks, or for pendants that are not too delicate looking. The links are super tiny, though, but luckily the chain comes packed with tiny jump rings that fit! Mind you, even with the tiny rings, the links are small, so you might want a bright light or glasses, or both. Great for my uses, for a variety of types of necklaces. I don't know about durability yet, but there were no flaws in my length of chain, and it was not noticeably easy to cut to make lengths out of, so I'm guessing durability will be good, too.

I bought this because the necklaces I was making kept popping off due to the weak chains I was using from Michael's. The links are closed in this chain and the metal is dense so you have to cut it to length using wire cutters. Its not a super shiny silver/bright silver color, it's more of a slightly dark silver/metal color. Hasn't tarnished since I bought it months ago. Love it and I would buy again.

I bought flat cable link chains from another vendor (which I loved) but they sent just regular cable link chain the last two times that I bought them. Eventhough this listing does not say that these are flat links, after looking at the pics for the 3.2mm chain I could tell that they were so I decided to give it a try. Just what I wanted and I hope that they don't switch to regular cable link chain on me in a few months!

This is a good value if you're okay with spending the time making your own chains. You can save a LOT of money by spending a little bit of time measuring out chain and assembling the necklace yourself.That said, in the 33 feet I received, I had about 15 spots where excess weld was added, making a little dot of material that will likely irritate someone's neck who wears the part, and 2 spots where the weld was so botched up that it stuck two links together. This cost me two chains worth of material as I had already been cutting lengths before running into that issue.The included jump rings are very flimsy and can pull apart, so make sure you either buy different ones or be careful to close them up real tight.I bought lobster claws that were 9x5mm and the proportions look good on the 2.5mm.Otherwise, it's definitely stainless steel, so make sure you have HARDENED cutters. Soft ones will deform if you try to cut this.
