There are three grounded outlets at the female end (two on one side, one opposite). The color is a bright red.The cord is unnecessarily thick; it is 16AWG but is as thick as 14AWG. The 600V rating is pointless for 120V household use. Despite being touted as being good in winter temperatures, the colder the temperature is, the more it stiffens up - almost as much as other cheaper vinyl cords.There is an orange neon power indicator light on the male end, and a green grounding indicator light on the female end. They aren't as bright as I'd hoped, but they suffice to show that the cord is plugged in and grounded - an important feature for me.
