This is exactly what I've been looking for. It's strong and made of tough stuff. Carbon steel, strong deadbolt door and hard as nails.. Yep, no ones getting in here without a fight...It's just the right size for me too and fits snuggly in my wardrobe compartment.Now the set up... Very easy. The supplied instructions look a tad confusing but follow my guide...1- remove the badge (yale) from the front.2- use the override key to unlock the door.3- insert the (supplied) batteries observing correct polarity and press the small red button (you'll hear a beep)4- with the door still open input a code of your choice (3-8 digits) and press the green tick button.5- close the door and replace the badge.You're done! Re-input your code to open the door.If you forget your code simply repeat above steps. So, dont lose the override keys. Keep them handy somewhere (not in the safe though!)So, for peace of mind this safe will store your passports, wallets, jewelery without breaking the bank.It can even be bolted to the floor or wall but it won't be necessary as it's small and discreet to hide anywhere really.Yep. Very happy with this.

Quality item excellent price

Recieved it the other week.. Package was damaged from the rain.. AGAIN!Why I'm knocking a star off this review! (Amazon.. Sort yourselves out! I live a busy life, rarely can I give up my day to stay in and pick up a package.)The safe itself is brilliant!Survived Amazon's bumbling and came to me in one piece.The Safe wasn't that heavy to carry. Instructions were simple to follow.Came with 2 Emergency keys incase you forget your password or the batteries in your safe die.Back of the battery case there is a reset button, so you press that, then enter a new 8 digit password, it'll beep twice to tell you that it was successful.It comes with holes in the back and bottom, so you can drill it with screws into your wall/floor so thieves can't run off with your safe. Hired a builder friend to drill it in for me.It is now firm and secure with an electronic keypad and handle to open when the correct password is entered.I love it!Like I said, Amazon's ridiculous policy of not using waterproof packaging ruined a 5 star rating here, otherwise I would! Great work Yale!

Genuinely, a great item, very well-made, you have the code setting, also a bonus key in case code is forgotten or battery dies, it’s made from steel and plastic, I wouldn’t say it’s waterproof but it’s great for saving things

Strong robust safe easy ti set up and install

This safe was exactly what I was looking for, I like that it's both electronic and key operated. When I go away, I can remove the batteries and leave it locked via key.Probably won't deter a really thief, just makes it a little more difficult for them.Perfect size and Yale has a good reputation.

This safe is very easy to screw down. The number settings are easy to use. So the locking is easy. It looks really looks good and could easily be disguised. The battery life is good, I had one the same for six years and didn't replace the battery once. The storage space holds a long of items.

Batteries that came with it falling apart so used batteries I already have. The battery's do not seem to stay too secured in their slots which caused me issues when trying to set the code/open the safe. Took a little while and frustration to release it was loose batteries causing the issue. Alright for a cheap product.
