Really like the container. It's a perfect size for setting in our sink while we are traveling . All the filtered water remains available.

I like this container but had to remove one star because two containers were ordered and one was received broken. It was split above the spout and had no sign of shipping damage. That implies it was shipped that way. I would not recommend using this for carbonated drinks unless the top cap is left open. The spout is not strong enough to resist the pressure created from the carbonation and will leak. I prefer my drinks without the fizz so it fits my needs fine. Update Sept 2015: The original two containers are still going strong. In the meantime, I've bought three more to use in the laundry room. They work great except for one minor point. Because the detergent and fabric softener are a bit viscous, they both want to drip a little after use. The solution is truly simple; just drab each one with an article of clothing to be washed before throwing it into the machine. It's like wiping the spout's runny nose. All of the new containers were received in perfect condition. I'm chalking of the early failure to a shipping issue and giving this product its 5th star back.

These work well but only last about 2 years before they start to leak either at the spout or the plastic container develops a crack. The typical retail price is $9.99 if you can find it locally. Kmart used to sell them and now Walmart sells this brand but not this 2 gallon size. They sell the larger / longer 2 1/2 gallon size for the same $9.99.

Second one I bought. The first one lasted about six years. The local store I bought it at doesn't carry them anymore so I came to Amazon because I wanted the exact same one. It actually broke through no fault of its own. I dropped it and the spigot broke. I love it. It fits perfectly on the top shelf of the fridge. I use a Brita water filter pitcher to fill it up and then I put it in my fridge. The container of filtered water lasts about three days. With this and some reusable water bottles I have fresh, clean, cold water all the time at near zero cost. No wasteful disposable water bottles. I've had this one now for a couple of weeks and it seems it will be as reliable as the first.

I noticed about week 3, the spout leaked just a bit. I use for my distilled water I make and keep on counter. I was noticing the counter was always wet, but chalked it up to maybe sink water splashed or something. Then I noticed the spout had a small slow leak, so I figured I'd just sit it up when not needing to put water in it or pour water from it. Again, water on counter. I finally took a solid look at it after I filled up and after finding water again on counter and noticing the jug looked almost an inch low. Well, the seam is leaking, not only the spout. Both leak. I made the mistake of not realizing it was actually a piece of trash intimidate 29 of owning it, so can't return. Check for leaks as one person said when you get it, but keep an eye out first couple weeks. I didn't and although it arrived fine, it started leaking quickly. Unless my experience is rare, I wouldn't suggest this jug. Yes it's inexpensive and boa free, but I will be investing in something a bit sturdier. Maybe it's not meant for daily use. Very cheap and not one solid piece of plastic. It's 2 halves connected and clearly not connected well as the seams leak no matter how I sit the jug. Do yourself a favor and buy a better one.

Held up okay for a few years, but after regular use (not even going anywhere, just filling it up and placing it in fridge) it developed a hole and leaks. Had to replace with a different model.

I’m a Camper Host and it is perfect for in my camper. We are not hooked up to water so I use it as like a faucet and it works great thank you.
