Lumen 7x6 Rectangular Projector LED Headlights - Black

I think these are terribly ugly headlights, but I didn't buy them for their appearance!They give BRIGHT white light in very well-controlled beam patterns, so they let me see quite well at night, without blinding other drivers (like many plug-and-play HID bulbs etc do).Low beams are broad enough to light up all pertinent areas, while very effectively setting an upper limit (if aimed properly) below the faces of oncoming drivers or those ahead of you, creating a much more efficient and controlled beam than any traditional sealed beams I've encountered.The high beams add higher-aimed additional beams, lighting the whole area ahead (great for rural areas and/or empty roads).Combine this with the intense power and bright-white color of these lights' output, and you have exceptional nighttime visibility, with respect for others on the road. EXCEPTIONAL!So, why only 4 stars?!?I had to cut away significant portions of the sides of the 'baskets'(?) which hold the headlights, in order to make these fit. They are the same size as standard 7x6 sealed beams, around the frame, and the overall depth is about the same, also, BUT the curvature of the sides (in back) is not standard, at all. A product, which claims to be a direct swap, at this price point, requiring me to make such modifications for installation, is worth at least one star.The functional result of the installation, on the other hand, is worth AT LEAST 5 stars.I HIGHLY recommend these, if you're more interested in their function than their appearance, you're willing to and capable of making some modifications to install them, and you're willing to take the time to properly aim the beams, once installed.Worth every penny, as long as they stand the test of time.Note: I've been using them, since purchased, but have not yet gotten around to wiring the built-in daytime running lights. Too many other priorities, at the moment.
