Fiddly to set up, wish it included all parts
This is a *needed* piece for SA hubs. I do, however, wish it had a housing termination. I had to 3d print one myself so I could mount it to my frame.Aside from that, works well.

I love English three speeds
Exactly what you need to replace the three speed control cable. Includes some hardware bits that go down towards the hub end. I might add, Sheldon brown, the sadly deceased bicycle mechanic, has excellent sections on the Sturmey Archer hub. If you have a question about how the cable is routed, or something like that, just look it up on Sheldon‘s website.

Does match the Sturmey Archer part
The photo shows the purchased cable — coiled up — and the original — pulled back from the housing. Note the cable ends don’t match. The fitting that goes on the other end of the cable -- allowing variation of the cable-length to link appropriately to the wheel hub -- is correct.

I installed this shifter cable on my 1961 Rollfast bicycle that I have restored, and it works great, and looks very good on the old bike.
