Wow! Impressed and then some ...
I bought this cane for my elderly mother in March 2018. She sometimes used it when she went out, but she didn't use it in the house. Fast-forward to April/May 2019, she was diagnosed with strep pneumonia that turned septic shock, and she begin walking very unstably. In addition to using the cane when she went out, she began using it in the hospital, the skilled care facility, and presently in her home. It's been a great cane and she really likes the blue color. She's used it so much, lately, that she wore down one of the tips to the metal, and the metal is now exposed and slightly rough due to her dragging it. It would be great if the rubber tips were stronger and lasted longer - is my only complaint about the cane. I called Vive Health and asked if I could purchase cane tips and Grê helped me with such excellent and friendly assistance. She asked me for my order number, and since Amazon is an authorized distributor for them, she was able to look up my order number. She asked me if I registered for the Lifetime Warranty, and I hadn't, so she graciously offered to do it for me. Then, I received an email confirmation that my warranty was activated. She placed an order for four tips for the cane and said they would come free-of-charge, under the Lifetime Guarantee, to my mother's address, where I originally had the cane delivered. I am very impressed with not only the quality of the cane - but that Vive Health has such an excellent warranty - that they honor, and that Grê provided me the knowledge of my warranty, and have the four cane tips shipped to me, FOC. Thank you so much, Vive Health, and thank you for hiring people who care. :-)

Make sure you know about the return policy
We bought this for a little elderly lady who needed a cane that was supportive. Unfortunately it's too heavy for her to walk with. We assumed we could return it to Kohls like we normally with Amazon. But this has to be returned to the company with an almost $10 shipping charge instead. We also destroyed the container it came in which is a very long oblong box that would be hard to even find to send it in. It is too much trouble, so we decided we will donate it somewhere. I am not being negative on the quality of the cane. It really is a great cane and worth buying. Our friend is a petite lady and it was too cumbersome for her. This is to make sure people do know if you are not sure do not destroy the box and be aware there will be a return shipping charge.

This is definitely the best cane I have ever used, I am getting to an age where my balance is not good and this cane is perfect for my use.

Metal Construction is Important
My daughter purchased a cane for me from a drug/health store that was highly recommended to her. She purchased the Vice Quad cane, but it had a plastic cover over the legs of the cane. The plastic cracked within two months of use and Vice does not offer a replacement part. This cane has a metal plate that, I assume, is welded to the legs and I have found it to be very useful. I have to go up and down stairs quite a bit and do appreciate that this cane will not (should not?) crack and break. I recommend it.

UPDATED REVIEW 9/2/19:I have to drastically revise my original review from 5 stars to 1 star. While initially the cane seemed solid and strong, 15 months in, the aluminum proved to be thinner than first thought. The only thing I can figure is that the metal, gradually and invisibly, fatigued over time due to aluminum of inferior quality being used. I am somewhat heavy but under 200 lbs. and did nothing that should have caused the two inner feet on the base to bend. I have had many canes and have never had one bend on me, never. Last night, however, when I walked into my garage, the cane suddenly and unexpectedly went out from under me with no warning whatsoever. As I result, I took a hard fall on my cement garage floor. Not an experience that I care to repeat, I assure you! Given bad balance and limited strength, it took me ten minutes to get myself up off the floor. Luckily, I only suffered a bruise or two. But the metal never should have failed like this. And, given the fact that I used the cane very sparingly only for occasional situations where I couldn't use my walker, users that use this cane on a frequent basis need to beware. If I had used the cane more frequently or on a daily basis, it would have likely failed a lot sooner than after 15 months. Because of this incident, I will never buy another Vive walking aid of any kind; inferior materials and dangerous for long term/heavy use. I could have been hurt far worse than I was. Thank goodness it turned out as well as it did.ORIGINAL REVIEW:A solid, supportive quad cane which it considerably more stabilizing than a standard cane. It's got enough heft as not to feel flimsy yet still lightweight enough not to be cumbersome when in use. The curved handle along with a comfortable grip are a plus which add to the user's overall balance when walking. It came well packed and was delivered promptly.
