LIked it so much that we are buying another
Bought this in September for my disabled daughter (vision and cognitive impairments) to use on trips. She loves videos and has one on in the background whenever she can. We used it for an airplane trip to visit her brother in Salt Lake and on our annual snow bird trip 4 days by car, with another 2 - 3 months in a temporary home (not ours). We wanted her to have a DVD player so that the rented house's TVs would not be targets when she is acting out. This player is easy to use, fairly sturdy - given the way she handles things and has a screen that is big enough for her to see her videos. We can rotate the screen (or close it over the controls) so that she doesn't accidently press the buttons to stop or change settings. It fits on the headrest in both our vehicles and has a remote so we don't have to drag it out of the holder while underway. Volume is loud enough for a personal DVD player. Battery life is good, 4 or more hours. She is not easy on DVD players (or TVs for that matter). Honestly, when I bought this one, I did not expect it to last more than a couple of weeks at best. . She drags it from room to room to room as she moves about during the day. When she gets irritated/upset, she tends to tip things (like TVs) over or drop something portable behind a bed or a couch - just so the world knows just how irritated she is, I think. Of course, the DVD player has had its turn as the item dropped when we aren't quick enough to recognize her intent. The screen has finally given out (after some pretty rough bounces off a wall behind the couch here). In spite of the recent demise of her first player (I have already ordered a new one - same model), I would recommend this for anyone with more "typical" children or even one like mine, It would help to ensure that the player is closed before any "anticipated "rough handling.

Great small, portable DVD/ CD/ MM player...
...to pass time at oncologist's clinics! It is rough enough to sit in that hoards of humanity while doing our best to keep from "staring" at the *too many* attending that place! FAR TOO MANY! .buy I digress! Another lifesaver! I use my IEMonitors or my Sony noise-canceling headphones for better, private listening & enjoyment. Recently I "found the charger cord" missing"! Thankfully UEME offered to ship a replacement at no "charges"! (Oh Myyy!, I just so very full of "it" today!) while "writing" this review... so that many can "listen to" it! (HaHa! Neither! is an available option! *to write* OR [for others to] LISTEN to it. Just wait, when You Get It! ANYway: -- The wall charger went missing while we were on hiatus from trudging up 'n back to/ from the treatment center! ...with at least SOMETHING to use to pass time at that dammed place!!! One cool feature is that swivel screen! Not going to over utilize that buy it's handy when sharing a part of a film/ concert/ whatever with a fellow patient doing our very best to be patiently waiting in that place! The Details: the sound has lots of room for improvements, (To Be Expected in this sort of unit.) I never ever expected it so sound close to my 977,000 watt sound reinforcement system of my car! *So Far - So Good* as far as the play part of the Player goes, The images are very good, I use a zippered hard(ish) Case for transporting + a smaller disc case for the extras, i.e.: charge cord, my mother back-up battery that adds a further 12+ hours to the already sturdier/ battery upgrade. The current battery **(**eh! EH!?)! That REMOTE! I have a small strip of 2-sided hook 'n loop fastener to keep the very easy to read/ operate remote controller! UEME's manufacturer has pushed the envelope with these porta-players! I'm satisfied. The 5 stars for the extra effort the company has gone to provide this experience is honorable indeed! I don't use it in my automobile as I have no vehicle now! But the case holder for a headrest is handy. (?), for those with their use for it, I'm certain that it would come in handy on those car trips with an anxious child, "...AND their LITTLE DAWGS too"! MY young people are far more advanced than the usual/ everyday "kids"! (... never really liked using *that* word: "kid"! I Have Human Chillin's! NOT bebee goats!) Finally: those controls on the face of the swiveling screen! as previously noted; great feature for when we misplace our remote control. All-In-All just a very cool package! I'm AM no fool, I do realize that these porta-entertainment-theaters in a box are assembly line constructed and will eventually fail. This "gadget" is just the ticket for me & We hope that you all feel at least partially as satisfied as we are!

Skips so so much, contacted seller to see if it's just defective
Update 3: I have had the replacement for a week or so, it works okay, skips occasionally still and randomly just won't work. Not worth the 70 something dollars to get it. Go to ebay and get a used sony one. Update #2: I contacted them again and they are sending a replacement. I will update if the replacement works better than this one or not. UPDATE: Now one day later wont play enough to watch when set on a still level table. AND THE DANG UEME PLAYER IS RUINING MY BRAND NEW DVDS WITH RING LINES! their supposed excellent customer service told me to email them proof to their service email, i had to go look for the email on google because they couldn't be bothered to tell me, and now they still have yet to reply. If this goes on much longer i will be doing a return with amazon and getting my money back. I will update if UEME company manage to fix the issue The quality and features are great but this is advertised as a PORTABLE CAR dvd player. It skips and glitches so much in the headrest holder that it can't be used in that, and if it's barely moved it glitches and or freezes completely. Even on a perfectly centered and still table it still stops about every 5-10 minutes. For the money this is not worth it. If it's defective or something and the seller fixes this issue I will update. If it didn't skip this would be a 5 star review
