I've had problems with gritting and grinding my teeth for most of my life and recently noticed the top edges of my teeth were starting to show wear and tear from it. Even my dentist commented on the damage I'm doing to my teeth and suggested a mouth guard. However, insurance would not cover a professionally shaped one and who has $800 to spend on something that can easily be obtained for Much less money and no sitting around the dentist office with that yucky mouth mold stuff in your mouth. I have a smaller bite size and am very pleased with the size of the women version of this guard. It was super easy to mold to fit (took less than a couple of minutes from start to finish and I was all set. The very first nite and I awoke with no headache, no toothache (which I've had for some time now because I actually have 4-5 teeth that were getting loose because of my grinding and gritting in my sleep) Looking forward to continued good sleep without those issues. Will definately reorder if/when the need arises. But with a box of 8, I hope they last me awhile.

We bought several drugstore versions before finally ordering these. All seem tricky to get aligned and set, but the good news is you can re "melt" and try again. Did notice that within a few nights they start to stretch and lose shape, I'm sure that's why you get so many, but this would be a pricey option for long term use. We will be going to dentist to get one made.

This is the best thing I could do for my 9 year old daughter that has been clenching and grinding her teeth at night while she sleeps. I kept asking her dentist and they kept saying they didn't do mouth guards because they were growing and changing that it was pointless. So I went to look for one myself. This is so easy to use with out burning your child if you have common sense. Obviously your not going to put in thier mouth when it's extremely hot out the boiling water. You have to find a happy medium where it is hot enough to still mold in thier mouth but not hot enough to actually burn them. I put the hot mold close to my face and briefly touch my face to get an idea when the temperature is right to put in my daughter's mouth. You should push up to shape it around the gums so it fits properly. Also I had my daughter bite down on it when it was still warm to make it fit better as well. I guess I would say it does take a small amount of skill on your part to mold it good to the teeth and gums to fit well but not difficult or impossible. In my opinion simple with common sense. Anyhow it has been wonderful for my daughter as long term grinding can damage teeth, this product was priceless, easy to use, and qood quality. I like the fact that it came with several because my daughter has lost the mouth guard once at night and she has an expander that was constantly being adjusted that I needed to redo a mouth guard for her when her mouth changed.

I purchased size small for my 7yr old. The gray is to small and does not cover his back molars. I am going to try and purchase a medium to see if covers all his teeth.
