I never used the adapter, so I don't know how well it works. I don't have any connections for it to fit in. These are very bright corn bulbs! Very durable and can withstand harsh temperatures. Love them!

In terms of brightness, it's everything I would've asked for. The elongated shape not suited to any fixture aside from a lighthouse does leave something to be desired. Once I mount the fixtures, these babies will make an amazing flood light. For anything else, go long over tall. The t3 style led bulbs may not have quite as much juice, but they are far superior to these for anything other than spotlighting or warehouse overheads.

I got these to use with indoor photography and they really work well. I have them in regular floor lamp fixtures rated for 150 watts and after running them for hours they are barely warm to the touch. The bulbs are enormous so they really detract from my interior decorating efforts so I can't leave them out all the time, but it's a small price to pay for so much light for so little money!

Works well and seems to be very bright. It has not been very long so I do not know how long they will last yet.UPDATE: I have now replaced 4 and just got a phone call that 5 more are out. (I installed 15) This is unfortunate, I now have to replace all fixtures. They say they can be in an in-closed fixture but this is not true..

These are a great value and extremely bright. We put one in outdoor light to make our dogs safer at night.

Update:It lasted almost 4 months and it no longer turns on. :-( Probably more of an inside bulb? IDK, but I am very disappointed.. it was bright while it lasted... Not worth $35 for 1 bulb that made it maybe 60 hours of on time.Original post:Very bright!Brighter than the 300 watt bulb that it replaced.. lights up the whole yard! 1/3 the power consumption ... win win..

I think these are worth the price we just installed them, replaced the existing bulb and they are bright. We used them to put in the basement and liked the fact that you can direct each of the 4 parts to a different location, which helps greatly. Not sure how long they last but I think I'll purchase a few more.Provide ample brightness to light up 3 ar garage pretty well.
