Also the packet contains enough for the top and bottom, something I hadn't realized, I thought it was one or the other, making it even better value. Make sure the edges of the kamado are thoroughly cleaned, I used sand paper and brake cleaner, attach the new gaskets, don't stretch them taught, they'll contract when warmed. Set a hot fire, close the lid, leave it to burn out and the adhesive will cure. Done

No brainer to buy this instead of the Kamado Joe version. It's identical as far as I can see. Also the packet contains enough for the top and bottom, something I hadn't realized, I thought it was one or the other, making it even better value. Great and better quality replacement than the old felt type gaskets. I was able to replace only the bottom gasket and it does not leak smoke at all. It’s slightly puffy so when the heavy top lid sits on it, it provides a nice seal.
