But, if you're buying a cpu for gaming/streaming, I don't think either the 1950x or 7900k are a good choice. I'd go for the 1900 or 1900X (8c16t threadripper) which also gives you an upgrade path for the next few generations of zen (AMD stated AM4 socket will be supported until around 2020). My hopes are that developers optimize for the Zen architecture (ryzen, threadripper, epyc) more so that we can get higher performance with what we have.
