Henckels Forged Accent 2-Pc Paring Knife Set, Razor-Sharp German Engineered

Henckels knives are our absolute favorite! They're incredibly sharp, comfortable to use, and make food prep so much easier. Even after regular use, they're easy to sharpen and hold their edge well. The quality is outstanding, and they've held up beautifully over time. We continue to add to our collection and wouldn't choose any other brand.

I like the quality construction along with the "sharpness" and agility of these knives. The blade to handle weight ratio is good. However, personally, I wish the knives had just a little more "heft" because I prefer a heavier tool in my hands. If you like light weight knives, you'll be pleased with this set. It is a pleasure using these knives because they cut easily fruit n veggies. I hope the high carbon steel allows the sharp edge to last a long time. Also, I use a wooden cutting board because its less abrasive to the knife's cutting edge. Overall, I like these sharp paring knives very much.

As soon as you pick these up, you can feel the balance and quality. They feel good in the hands. For me the balanced weight is ideal. Smooth clean cuts thru fruit and tomatoes. Work well with meats also. I would though recommend a good quality cutting board when using these. There is no reason to push down hard on the board surface because they are razor sharp right out of the packaging. I have used them for a few months now and they hold their edge very well. If I am cutting cooked thicker meat, I will use a couple swipes of a metal honing rod to quickly restore them to perfect edge sharpness before cutting. I am planing on buying a few more types of knives from this company. Also, if you don’t have one yet, I’d recommend a wood block to organize the knives. Very handy when working with different meats, food, and breads.

knives are nice and heavy, hold an edge fairly well. The one pictured cracked at the first and third rivets, on one side, in less than a year of general kitchen use.

Love these knives. Sharp, good handle style for me and my wife, and they hold an edge if you don't abuse them. I like them so much I ended up buying an entire set with knife block.

decent knives, sharp, easy to use

I received a set of Henckels as a gift back in 1990 and have never had a problem with them. I use the sharpener tool that came with them on the block and they stay sharp. They are sturdy have a size for most any need. Sadly, with large gatherings and people in and out one of my favorites of the knives went missing. Hmm! When I saw this 2-piece set, I was so relieved to replace my knife and at a great price. I don't know if they are dishwasher safe, but I certainly don't put mine in the dishwasher. I handwash after every use and put back in the block.

As a chef, this is a really solid set of paring knives that quickly becomes one of the most used tools in the kitchen. Right out of the box, they’re sharp and cut cleanly without much effort. That said, these are not high-end professional knives, so you may need to sharpen them from time to time if you use them frequently. But for the price and quality, they offer great value. Overall, a dependable and practical set—sharp, easy to handle, and perfect for everyday kitchen prep.
