Gute Idee leider mangelhaft umgesetzt die Gewindestifte die die Fixiermutter halten sind zu kurz und so hat man die Wahl, ob der Stift fest sitzt oder die Mutter das Gewinde noch greifen kann. Die Schraube die den Zugang zu dem Gewindestift abdecken soll ist wiederum zu lang und blockiert den oberen Schlitten. Nach paar Korrekturen und dem Einbau von einem neuen längeren Gewindestift funktioniert die Vorrichtung wie gedacht. Also an sich ok nur schlampig zusammen gezimmert . Daher nur 3 Sterne.

I've not seen or handled the item this is a copy of, but I wonder whether this comes out of the same factory. No sign of Chinesium in the construction and comes in a lovely metal case too. Good value.

This is the third one I have bought(second from Amazon, one from Temu, but EXACTLY the same item) and this one actually works. They are a great little tool but be patient until you get one that works. Previous ones wouldn't tighten or wouldn't move. By the way, Amazon is cheaper than Temu and doesn't take over a week to arrive.

Nach der Montage wurde der Kerf Maker nicht auf seine Funktion überprüft. Es obliegt dem Kunden, die offensichtlichen Mängel festzustellen und zu beseitigen. Für 30€ sieht er optisch tadellos aus und nach etwas feilen und polieren, funktioniert auch einwandfrei.

This product looks lovely and feels like a quality item. As if it really should work as intended... but it simply doesn't.In use, the two screws should be loosened a little such that all three blocks can move independently. So far so good. One screw is then to be used to lock the red and gold blocks together. Which it does very well... except the gold-red assembly is then also locked rigidly to the grey block. Which is no good at all and prevents the gadget from being of any use.I fiddled with this for a while. If gold and red can be locked together in such a way that they can collectively slide across the grey... well... I am unable to figure it out. It does not matter where the other screw (between grey and gold) is set, or in which direction the red-gold screw is turned... locking red and gold locks all three blocks together.(For what it's worth, the fault lies, I believe in the tolerance of the thin part of the red block. Once gold and red are locked together, the sliding dovetail of the red into grey is not in the same plane as that of the gold into the grey. Once locked, red and gold together form a wedge that cannot slide in the grey slot. I could slacken the slot and I'm sure it would work... but it would take a *lot* longer than my time is worth with this item, and the lovely anodising would be ruined. In my humble opinion, there is no reason for the slot tolerance to be so tight... but since it is, the dovetails also need to be better machined to suit.)I'm going to have to send it back.(The box is a nice idea in principle... but, in practice, is way too thin to withstand the various courier services of the world. Keeping it for myself, I might not have used the box anyway; as a gift, it would be way too dented to be valued.)
