Good value, very nice
The grill heats up quickly and reaches high temperatures.End of highlighted quote The burners heat evenly, and I was able to get a nice sear on burger during the first cook. The side burner is a great bonus, and I really like the flat prep shelf on the opposite side, it gives you plenty of room for plates. The stainless steel finish looks really nice. The built-in thermometer has been accurate enough for everyday grilling, and the cabinet below provides convenient storage for the propane tank and accessories.

Great value
I am a longtime charcoal grill user and smoker, but with a growing family I really don’t have time to deal with all the hassles of charcoal so I searched for a propane grill. My criteria were: lots of heat, cast iron grate, side burner, a build-in thermometer, and of course good value. I looked into some of the more expensive brands, which are indeed very nice but I couldn’t justify spending close to $1000 on a grill. I did research in the sub $400 range and I found this product. Here are my thoughts: Assembly: this product arrived well packaged. My uncle helped me move the box to the backyard since it was 80+ pounds. When we first opened the package, he said he could tell it was a quality product based on the packaging. I read the assembly booklet and also scan the QR code for the assembly videos, the combo made it easy to install, and I completed the assembly less than hour. Double layer lid: This was a surprise to me since I was not looking for this feature. As a charcoal user and smoker, none of my grill ever had this. Because of the lid, this grill was super fast to heat up and really maintained heat very well. The enamel cast iron grate: A cast iron grate is a must, but you have to season it. My first grilling session was a steak which I didn’t expect to stick. I moved the steak around the grate to give an initial seasoning. My second session was salmon, which amazingly stuck very little despite it only being the second grilling session, this is a surprise and very welcome feature. With some more sessions and more seasoning. I expect the grate to be 100% none stick. Grill performance: as mentioned before the double layered lid helps tremendously with heat retention and keeps the heat uniform. The cast iron grate also helps with heat retention and uniformity because of how much heat retains in the iron. Also, the burners were powerful and preheating the grill took less than five minutes. This is a huge time saver versus charcoal grill, exactly what I want. It seared my steak pretty nicely too. Oil tray: another surprise after I got the product is that it has a two tray oil catching system. A big tray that catches all the droppings then a smaller tray which attaches to the bottom of the big tray. This way you don’t have to move the big tray every-time. You just have to dump out the small tray. Very useful and makes clean up simple. Overall, a grill with incredible value and included a double layer lid and a two tray drip collection system, which was beyond what I expected for a product in this price range.

Highly cost effective and highly functional grill
Very nice and cost effective grill. It functions well, and does not cost me that much comparing to almost all others. The wheels make it mobile to push around to another part of the yard from where I store. The locks on two of the four wheels anchor to the spot to fire it up. The one things that could be improved is the installation manual. The manual is well written. I was able to follow the steps and put it together within 2 hours, given that I am not so handy around the house. There is one step, however, it instructs the user to remove a bard on the back. In the remaining steps, it never referred to this part again. I end up wondering how to install it back to the grill. So I suppose it was an re-enforcement for shipping. It would be nice to tell the user that this part will not be put back to the grill after the removal.

Solid material, simple and elegant appearance, grade, easy installation and simple operation,
The Captiva Designs 4-burner propane gas grill is made of stainless steel and is very high-end. It looks good, is simple to operate and easy to use. I am very satisfied with it and look forward to the Christmas barbecue party. My extended family holds a barbecue party every Christmas, and this year it was my turn to have a barbecue at my house, so I had to find a barbecue grill suitable for about 10 people. A friend introduced this Captiva Designs 4-burner propane gas grill. The furnace is indeed high-end after installation, and the assembly is relatively convenient and simple. It just requires a little patience. What makes me most satisfied is that there are no shortage of screws and accessories. The material is quite thick, and it is difficult for one person to lift it after assembly. Fortunately, the four supporting legs of the frame are equipped with wheels, and two of the wheels have a self-locking function, so it can be moved to the required position anytime, anywhere. It is usually used in the yard and Moving between garages can be done by one person. The main body of the oven and the door of the locker are made of 304 stainless steel, thickened and high-quality material. There are no scratches at all. The details of the lines are polished smoothly. There is no need to worry about rust. It is environmentally friendly. The frame is made of carbon steel, the thickness is okay, and it is quite strong when assembled together. The grill grid is made of cast iron, which is also very thick and should be durable. The appearance design of the oven is simple and stylish, which perfectly matches the style of my yard. It has a large capacity, and the design of 4 sets of burners provides efficient firepower, which can grill a lot of food at one time and satisfy many people's dinner parties. Moreover, this barbecue grill is still powered by propane gas, which is clean, hygienic and convenient. The ignition device is powered by AA batteries and has a fool-like one-button operation. Even a novice barbecue grill like me can get started quickly. There is no pressure at all, and the barbecue There is also a gas stove on the right side of the stove. While grilling, you can also heat the oil pan to make fried skewers, which is very suitable for family use. Now I am looking forward to the Christmas family barbecue party more and more, I will update when the time comes.

Poor quality. Grilled burned up and is unsafe.
Not sure how this product has a 4+ star rating. The grill has major over heating issues and the interior burned. I've never had a grill catch fire before. Grill gets to 700 degrees while on low and the interior paint/coating is destroyed. The bottom of the grill also has holes in it after less than 20 uses. Absolute junk quality. Please go read the other 1 star reviews. Wouldn't be surprised if either a high % of their product has malfunctions or this company is buying reviews.

Nice! Very even heat control and distribution
I have to start out by saying that I really love this grill. We bought this grill to replace a very similar, 3 burner grill that we had for the last 15 years. The burners on our old grill were rusting out and overall it was in pretty rough shape, so time for something new. I wish I had bought this Captiva Designs grill years ago! Even though our old grill was a major brand name grill, the new Captiva Designs grill beats it hands-down in every area. The biggest thing is the consistency and output of the main burners. We get a nice even blue flame across everyone of the burners on the new grill. It is extremely consistent, so that you get evenly distributed heat across the grilling surface. Plus it gets HOT, like really hot, if you want it to. Our old grill was a lot less consistent and could barely get up to 400F, if we pushed it. In contrast, the Captiva Designs grill can get up to 700F! Even though I like getting out on our back deck and grilling, I like how this grill can save me time with a quick heat up process. The enamel coated iron grating is “great” too. 😊 It seems very robust and durable. I feel confident that it will last a long time and cleans up easily. The ignition system is nice too with spark generators at each burner (which surprised me as a nice quality touch). The grill does come very well packaged in a heavy box. There is a decent amount of assembly required, as you would expect. Good instructions are included, though. It took me about an hour to completely get it all put together. The instructions also direct you to crank the heat up to max for 10 minutes to burn off all of the oil and further bake the paint on the grill before you actually cook with it. That’s how I got my grill up to 700F was during this burn-in process. I highly recommend that you do not forget this step as the grill will really smoke through this process. 10 minutes wasn’t quite enough for me, I went for 15 minutes. Basically, though, you just run it at maximum heat until it stops smoking. The smoke from those manufacturing oils is not something that you want in your food, so I went those extra 5 minutes just to make sure that it was good. Overall I have been very pleased not only with the quality of the construction of this grill, but also with the excellent job that it does in cooking evenly across a nice grate surface. I would definitely recommend this grill, especially if you (like I was) are considering an upgrade from an older grill.

Great Family size grill for weekend cookouts
This is my first grill ever and i was so excited to put it to use. It is a 4 burner propane grill with a side burner which is a plus for sauce prepping or making pasta. the cooking space is plenty big enough for family meals and weekend cookouts. Overall i’m very happy with this grill and would recommend to anyone looking for their first grill!

Pretty disappointed
We had this grill only a year and 8 months. We didn’t end up using it a lot, but the bottom has already disintegrated and there is a gaping hole. The metal pieces that are over the burners also were flimsy enough where they deteriorated way too soon. It was hard to keep at a low enough temperature for good grilling. I ended up putting the meat over two burners that I would turn off after the grill was pre heated in order to avoid the meat getting scorched. We already have to throw it out.
