I have found that yes they are pliable, but work very well for opening laptops and other plastic cases.. they are meant for electronics use and not as one would use say a screwdriver to pry open a heavy machine lid or something. I got 4 or 5 of these when I ordered them and am still using the first one. I have also found that being a little liable has been a benefit when I have had to go at something with a bit of an angle. Now they are a bit weak as I said when using them as a lever to pry.
