I wanted a USB rechargeable, bright, compact and lightweight torch with some accessories, and this fits the biil perfectly. I have a smaller Sofirn torch and after reading reviews this looked to be a good value torch that does what I wanted. There have been reports of the emitter having poor tint, but this hasn't given me any problems. it is relatively light and compact with nice knurling on the body and tail cap making it easy to hold. The diffuser turns the torch into a great lantern, especially when used with the magnetic tail cap. The simplified Anduril firmware makes navigating the functionality of the torch a breeze and the option to switch up to the full Andural 2 provides useful access to lots of modes and customisations should you need them. In turbo it is very, very bright, probably too bright and gets hot over the course of a minute or two, but to be fair it is unlikely that you will need this peak brightness for a length of time. The normal high brightness is still very bright and illuminates object 10s of metres away no problem, lasts longer and doesn't get too hot. 50% seems a good compromise between battery life and being able to clearly illuminate in front of you. The beam has a nice central spot with a good peripheral spread of illumination and throws a long way clearly. Really happy with the torch, great piece of kit.

The SC31 pro is well built, has a nice sturdy side switch that controls all functions. It uses the anduril UI, which can be used in simple mode (on/off, lockout, battery check, smooth/stepped ramping, turbo) or advanced mode in which you can custom a lot of parameters (eg. Disable turbo, change the switch button intensity or even turn on auto lockout) also let you access some interesting features (different strobes), some very remarkable like the candle mode (the light strobe mimics the light that comes from a candle) or the lighting mode ( the light mimics a thunderstorm pattern). One would never thought a simple flashlight would be able to have some many features. So let's go to the performance, it uses sst40 LEDs, they are pretty bright and matches pretty well with the reflector, it has an impressive power for its size. At turbo it takes a few minutes to get hot as any turbo flashlight, but the medium and high modes are more than enough for daily use. Overall, a good flashlight to start in the flashlight world, with plenty of features for the price point, the built-in rechargeable battery and onboard charging seal the deal. Die Lampe ist genial. Das Betriebssystem erlaubt so viele Funktionen, die man gar nicht alle braucht. 3x kurz für den Abruf der Akkuspannung nutze ich regelmäßig. Sie ist extrem hell mit guter Reichweite. Ich nutze sie im Auto.

Sofirn SC31 pro is a great flood light torch. Very affordable, it may be one of the best options in this price range. Long battery life, it can go for weeks without a recharge depending on the mode, it is charged via provided USB-C cable (no proprietary cable is needed if you lose it). It is lightweight and very portable, it can be carried as EDC in a backpack with no issues. It fits all TSA requirements, and I never had a issue passing through security and scanners with the SC31 Pro in my carry on bag (goes without saying it always depends on the security staff to not allow it). Even in the big hubs overseas. It uses the customisable Anduril as UI, but I never got into this too deep. It has multiple functions using the one lighted button, but I am only using it as a torch on/off/regulate brightness switch. I guess it is nice to have (like lock the torch, check battery status), but I never felt the need of any of those functions.

This is my 2nd sc31. Sofirn makes a great flashlight. I recommend this to all my techs and have both many other Sofirn products for friends and family. The Sc31 is extremely bright and gives the user the ability to cycle between lots of different modes fairly easily. The pro comes with the magnetic base which is a must have for me. Long battery life tough build. Get yourself a Sofirn Sc31 Pro!
