Le Mini Macaron DIY At Home One Step Gel Manicure Kit (Baby Blue)

I never write reviews, but I love this set. I'd never done gel nails on myself before nor had them done at a salon before using this kit, so I truly had no experience outside of watching youtube tutorials, and in my opinion this was the perfect product to start with. I was nervous about messing up my manicure since gel nails need so many steps, so I was specifically looking for something like this that I could use to do one nail at a time to make sure each nail was perfect. I'll lay out a few key points about why I like both the gel polish and the LED light:1. The gel itself truly was one-step in my experience. All I did was file the surface of my nail, clean it off with a bit of nail cleanser, and apply two coats of the color. I did one accent nail with a Daisy gel polish color, and the nails painted with only the Le Mini Macaron gel lasted just as long as the accent nail that had base and top coat. They were also comparably shiny to the nail that had top coat. I got mine in Rose Creme, so I can't speak for the other colors, but the application was very easy and it covered nicely in two coats.2. The LED light works with other gel polish brands. So far I have also used it with polishes from Red Carpet Manicure, Gelish, and Daisy Gel and they have all worked perfectly with no issues (making sure to follow instructions for a full gel polish application, since none of these other polishes that I have are one-step). The Le Mini Macaron polishes only take 30 seconds to cure, but I cured these other brands for a total of 60 seconds (2 presses of the button on this Macaron LED) to make sure they were 100% done. Gelish foundation base coat and top it off top coat also cured just fine in this light.3. I love the small size of the LED light and that it is used plugged into the USB port of your laptop. Yes, doing one nail at a time is a little time consuming, but I specifically got it so that I could work on one nail at a time make absolutely certain that each one was perfect since I'm very new at gels. I'm the patron saint of messing up wet nails and there's nothing I hate more about using normal non-gel nail polish than that feeling when you sit back after finishing the last nail and realize that the nail you started with has a fingerprint mark and a friggin cat hair stuck in it or something.4. My manicure lasted 10 days before a small chip appeared, and I think that only happened because my application wasn't perfect and I accidentally got a small amount on the side of my cuticle, which came loose and lifted a bit as my nail grew. At that point I wanted to try another color anyway so I went ahead and removed it all, but it seems like I easily could have kept it on for at least several more days with no further damage to the polish.

I enjoy having my nails done, especially with gel polish but this doesn't compare to having them professionally done. It's very easy an convenient to use and I love the color but the paint keeps peeling off. I have had to redo almost all of my nails within two days of painting them because they either chip or peel off. It's nice to be able to have gel polish without going to a nail salon but I don't like having to keep repainting my nails, even if it takes about a minute to do.

I want to love this kit, but the light only lasted through 1 hand!! I loved the results! Contacted the company to see what we could do. They responded right away by asking for a video of me pigging it in and turning it on. I did this right away and now I have not heard back in over two wks! I've emailed a few more times with no response. I even bought another color, but with no light it doesn't work! I just want a replacement light.. no money back. Please respond ASAP!!!

This is awesome and it really does dry in the allotted time.I wish they had a clear gel polish so I could use any color of regular polish and seal it with a gel top coat.Also removal process is very intense for me.

Love the product and my manicure did last two weeks. The polish lasts much longer than what can be bought in stores. Only the shipping takes much longer than expected, so do allow extra time. Hope they make more colors.

I was under the impression this could be charged with the USB cable and used without the cord for when I'm traveling. Unfortunately it has to be plugged into use, so its not as portable as hoped, almost defeats the purpose of being so tiny and cute. The nail polish color is more green that blue and pretty thick, almost gloopy, I will try other gel brands and see if that's a brand issue or just a gel polish issue in general. Other than that it was easy to use, cute, and so far has lasted 3 days. I live in a place where a gel mani is around $50, so one use pays for itself and I can never get real polish to dry before it smudges or chips off in a matter of hours, so instant dry is awesome for me.
