This is an excellent collection of prayers for reading during a Holy Hour. It’s well presented with a sturdy cover. Recommend for those new to HH or those struggling with how to fill the time. Well done.

This book help me to stay focused on my prayers and what my true focus should be about. I am a new convert to Catholicism and this book is a necessary tool for a devoted life to Christ.

Beautiful book of prayers of adoration of Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament. As Jesus said in the Gospels “This is My Body, This is My Blood.” How fortunate we are as Roman Catholics to have our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ’s Eucharistic Presence in our churches. And how worthy of our adoration! I found this book so beautiful and helpful in prayer that I bought a second one for a close friend. I highly recommend this beautiful book of prayers !

The five stars is for the speed delivery in mint condition, brand new.I bought this to point out word for word to others that adoration even according to Catholic doctrine is to worship (venerate). It’s written on Pg. 23 Because they simply will not believe the dictionary or a thesaurus or a bible or an etymology. They have to see it from their own resources to believe it. Like the Bible says: “learn not to go beyond what is written in scripture”. And “it’s the devil who lies deceiving others from his own resources”. This is one of those resources that contradicts the Bible and I keep it handy to prove my points to those I evangelize to. The world is in darkness and man made traditions, this book is clear evidence to that fact that many are being mislead. So the five stars has nothing to do with the book. Only for the speed and condition of the book by the seller.

I have purchased a few other Catholic Devotional books on Loyola Press by William Story, which are also very impressive. I have found myself troubled in trying to find a devotional prayer book, immersed in our rich Catholic tradition, that leaves me feeling empty. There are often prayer books and pamphlets dedicated to the idea that you pray a certain prayer so as to effect God, or basically convince him to change his mind. I believe prayer is meant to change us more than it is meant to change God. These books help that with a few things.1) Liturgy: The prayers enable us to be drawn in, with the whole Church to the Liturgical life throughout the year, specifically in our celebration of the Eucharist at Mass.2) Scripture: The devotions are founded and focused on Scripture, and allow us to meditate on those Scriptures.3) Tradition: A rich variety of sources are used, to make these prayers rooted in our traditions throughout the centuries.4) Catechetical: The history of several devotions and practiced are explained, drawing upon the experience of various saints.5) New: Some of the prayers have never been spelled out as specifically as have in this book, sometimes with modern enough language, that bring us to new life.a Must for Eucharistic Adoration!

You took the time to include a table of contents, but why NO index. If you are looking for a particular prayer by a particular St. an index is very helpful. You included the lists of 'notes,' and acknowledgements, but no index. Also a list of the Biblical citations would have been nice, along with the traditional English translation of the prayers.Otherwise it is a very nicely made book, ~300 pages with a few blanks that can be used to insert a few, of your favorite prayers that were not included.Also printed on nice opaque paper, with a sewn binding so pages won't fall out with frequent use.
