It fits perfectly to my computer. I guess I ordered the right stuff.

The first battery did not work properly, there was a slight burning smell. I disconnected the battery and contacted Amazon for a replacement. I sent back the defective one, and I was sent a replacement one. This replacement works perfectly.

This is a great 3-cell battery for the Dell E7470. My laptop had a 2-cell battery in it, so I was a little afraid it was not going fit. It ended up fitting great and now has much more life. It was very easy to replace. I unscrewed the 8 screws on the bottom of my Dell 7470 using the included screwdriver and pop off the cover. Then the battery was easily accessible. There was only one screw holding the battery in place. It looks like a screw is missing from the center bracket on the battery. This is normal because it is held in place by the center cover screw. Once the old battery is out then you will need to swap the battery cable from the old battery. My old laptop would shut off as soon as I unplugged the power cord. Now, this new 3-cell battery states over 12 hours of time remaining. If I had known it was this easy to replace, I would have done it months ago.
