Great speakers at a low price.
I've been using Compaq speakers that were 11" tall for the past 10 years or so. I've used them with 2 or 3 desktop computers. Well, they finally bit the dust. After reading alot of reviews, looking at watts and other things, I picked these Arion speakers because I didn't want to spend more than $20. I plugged them in, and my favorite songs on YouTube sounded alot more clear. No more distortion, no more fading at higher volumes. These speakers can put out some volume. My wife was downstairs and remarked how clear she could hear the music while I was testing out the speakers. If you're into alot of bass, you need to get a 2.1 system with a subwoofer. If you're trying not to spend a lot, you'll be very happy with these. They look and sound great.

they were the best looking speaker I could find
I am a housewife of 3 kids. Over the years, I have purchased countless electronics for my kids. I decided to get one of these speakers because frankly, they were the best looking speaker I could find. When I got the speaker I was surprised by its size. It was GINORMOUS. thank goodness the visuals were very appealing. They have very nice colors to it and blends in nicely in our game room. My kids hooked up everything (it never stops to amaze me how quickly they can hook up electronics) and started playing their games. The sound was so loud, it caught my hubby's attention. So he tried the speakers with a movie and ~WOW~ was he impressed by the sound quality. These speakers are PHENOMENAL. My hubby, being a self proclaimed tech chief of the house, could not believe me when I told him I got these for under $50 on amazon with free shipping. He was guessing in the neighborhood of 200. Big, nice pat to myself.

Clarity&Boom From Tiny Speakers
These speakers are tiny, but they do have some good resonance and kick for such tiny speakers. They also have pretty good clarity as well. I even hear ranges that my much more expensive Logitech speakers which the treble on those was too high with little bass. I live in an apt complex with thin walls and the Logitech ones I had to crank up to get full range. With these I get the same clarity at all sound levels I don't have to turn it up as loud to hear everything in the song. However I do have a kick ass sound card in my laptop. One negative about these speakers, the blue "On" indicator light is so damn bright I had to cover it with black electrical tape to stop it from blinding me in low light... Might wanna do the same or shut them off at bedtime because a blue beam of light in your eyes while trying to sleep can be annoying lol..

good budget speakers
small and inexpensive speakers. a very basic and good design. I doubt the frequency response goes as low as advertised so don't expect good bass response. I use these for my laptop, and they're the perfect look and sound for my small room.

Great for the price.
Stylish speakers with good output and real wood enclosure. Sound quality is good for the price and I get no noise or hiss from them when I turn them all the way up and mute the sound on my computer (That's been a problem with other speakers I've bought around this price point). Small thing to be aware of, The blue "on" light is really bright. Bright enough to be distracting. Bright enough I had to put a piece of black duct tape over it until I can find a better solution (Maybe black nail polish). Otherwise, one of the best pairs of cheap desktop speakers I've ever bought.

NOT THE SAME QUALITY as the Eagle Tech ET-AR504LR-BK 2.1 Speakers
I bought a set of Eagle Tech ET-AR504LR-BK 2.1 Speakers for a HDTV in my bedroom. They are easily a 5 star product so I bought these 2.0 speakers for my office PC. Unlike the 2.1 speakers that use RCA jacks I was very disappointed to find that these were hardwired. Pros: I would say they produce pretty good sound and the cases are built well. Cons: THIS IS A BIG CON. The left and right speakers are hardwired together with a ridiculously short wire. I mean like 3ft. apart is all the separation. I dropped my rating from 5 star to 2 star for this reason alone. This is really stupid. You would have to cut and splice in wire just to put them on the ends of a desk. This makes it very hard just to set them up. Come-on, wire is cheap. If you are going to be so cheap at least put a RCA jack on one end so you don't have to splice in a wire. This was a big disappointment just because it's so stupid.

Great buy!
Great product and great price! I was a bit hesitant to buy these speakers because of the price but I am very happy I did. I have a monitor set up that I typically hook my laptop up to for the bigger screen. The monitor has no speakers and no USB outlet. Luckily, these don't need a USB like a lot of the speakers I was looking at, and, they sound awesome! Much louder and better quality than I expected. I also bought a streaming Roku stick for the monitor so I pretty much converted it into a TV and the sound is working great. I would definitely recommended.

and bass like, until you turned the volume up to high ...
I must comment on these little gems. I used to sell stereo in the 80's. The cheaper stereo systems in the store had "ported" openings in the back of the speaker box. This meant a low wattage amplifier could sound reasonably loud ,and bass like, until you turned the volume up to high then it distorted horribly. I did not buy these similar ported speakers to "crank" up the volume, but to have a reasonable sound at a very low volume. This is what I got. It sounds clear and has a little bass to it, not to be confused with the "thumping" of a sub woofer. I noticed instrumental music and classical sounded great. Rock like Fleetwood Mac had a decent sound with a little bass. You Tube sound reminded me of TV from the same decade. Talk Radio is my main reason for the purchase. It fills my kitchen and dinning room with clear talk. Finally they are handsome pair of speakers which look expensive. The cabinet is wood grain, the front is a shiny black, and the speaker is a two tone black/white with a rubber roll edge.
