Merach Q1S Magnetic Rowing Machine Indoor, Dual Slide Rail, Quiet & Smooth

I've lost 70 lbs in the last two years, largely thanks to walking or running - sometimes outside, sometimes on a treadmill. Moved from a house to an apartment & the although the complex has a state of the art gym in the clubhouse, this is year five of working hard to not catch C19, and I don't want to use it. Yes, I could mask, but didn't love the thought of running with a sweaty mask or having to do trial & error to find the best mask for that job. I'm on the top floor of my building & am not the kind of neighbor who'd wake the downstairs neighbors with an hour of me thudding away on the noisy treadmill. I tried step workouts in a carpeted room, but found myself holding back. I can lift weights or use a rebounder or yoga/pilates, but nothing was really working for cardio. I started pricing ellipticals - that's basically running, right? Only no impact and no shaking the rafters for the neighbors? There's a huge price difference, and many of the budget-friendly ones either looked flimsy, or had reviews about parts coming loose or not lasting long. I went to YouTube and found a guy who did a whole How To Not Pick A Sh(odd)y Elliptical. LOL. And he gave a list of half a dozen things to look for before committing and said there was good & bad to be found at all of the price ranges. So I came back to Amazon a little more prepared about what I was looking for. It seemed like I'd have to spend $350-ish and hope mine would not die after a year. Honestly I don't know how I went from ellipticals to rowers. Maybe a "People Who Look At These Crappy Ellipticals Also Buy..." suggestion? IDK. At first glance, shopping felt similar to ellipticals. There was a huge price range & varying reviews. I did notice that there were fewer complaints about quality, stability, or durability. I went back to YouTube hoping for another How To Buy A Decent Rower video. I didn't exactly find *that,* but I did find several unboxing videos. I watched rower videos for a few days and noticed that a lot of the positive reviews/unboxings kept mentioning Merach by name. I'm a little slow on the uptake sometimes, so I went googling to see if Merach made an elliptical. LOL. And then I shopped for their specific rowers. It seemed like $350 was going to have to be the budget either way. I was still leaning elliptical for decibel level alone. Some of the rowers were really loud even in the videos. I got a notification that one rower I'd been looking at was on sale & marked down from $399 to $250-ish and there was a $50 coupon. I went to the reviews, which were almost all positive, and one man said his wife likes to work out early in the mornings & that he could not hear her even in the next room. No electricity required was also a huge plus. I decided for $200, it was worth the gamble & hit Buy Now. It took maybe 30 min to assemble by myself & would have gone faster if I had trusted the R/L on the pedals, but I put those on backwards the first time. (That's on me - it's imprinted AND marked by a sticker AND in the instructions, but I thought I knew what I was doing. hahahaha) It really is darn near silent. It's a belt and not a chain, plus I didn't get a water model. (I'm told those are louder.) Does not need external power. It is really sturdy. The seat glides easily and even that does not make any noise at all. If the display matters to you (it does not to me), you'll probably want to have 2 AAA batteries on hand. They include two cheapo/trial batteries that the instructions say won't last long & will need to be replaced. (Seems like a weird thing to cheap out on, honestly, but whatever.) Personally, I put my ipad on the ledge in front of the display and throw on an Apple Fitness rowing workout. I noticed something after mine arrived, and that was that a 3rd party delivery like Amazon voids the warranty. I don't know for sure that I have no standard company warranty, but I would have asked before purchasing. I did add the extended warranty. Maybe that will help if I need it? One nice surprise. I expected it to be sturdy while rowing. I would have returned it if it was not. But it is also sturdy when upright to be put away. I don't have to worry about the vacuum knocking it over or anything. It's sturdy, balanced, and solid. And quiet! A dream! Really happy with the purchase. Now to lose the rest of the weight. Almost to my goal!

I honestly cannot believe how high-quality this rower is for the price. It feels like an incredible bargain for such a solid piece of fitness equipment. Build & Operation: The magnetic flywheel setup makes it almost completely silent during workouts, which is fantastic for home use. The dual slide rail design provides a surprisingly smooth, balanced glide with no side-to-side wobble or instability, and the 16 levels of resistance offer plenty of range for daily cardio. Overall Impressions: Assembly was straightforward, and the compact footprint fits easily in a living room or home gym space. If you are looking for a reliable, quiet, and comfortable rowing machine without spending a fortune, this MERACH rower is an absolute steal. Easily a five-star purchase!

I am overall happy with the product. I am 6 foot tall and about 215lbs and the equipment is smooth and the interface is simple. Set up was quick and easy. However, I can only give 3 stars because the footholds are no good. They are flimsy and don’t do well at holding your feet in place. The other issue is that the range of motion is cut short because the handle rest should be about a foot further away. A simply solution for the vender would be to offer an extension for the rails. I still am able to get a good workout on it and am happy with the purchase. I might’ve been happier spending a little extra though for one that offered a better range of motion. Plus side is that it is compact. UPDATE: I increased my review by a star because the MERACH team has excellent customer service and offered a solution to fix the problem with the footholds. Only issue left now is the where the handle mount is and if that was fixed this would be a perfect product. Folks with short arms might not find it as much of an issue.

I am very happy with this purchase. For reference, I am female, 5’8, 155lbs. There is plenty of room on this machine that I think it would be a comfortable fit for most sizes. It’s super quiet, well made and easy to assemble. The directions that come with it are a little difficult to decipher, I looked up a video on YouTube and with that it was simple to put together. The display is simple and easy to use. The seat and handle bar are both comfortable even for longer workouts. Also, to store it, it easily stands up and fits against a wall or in a corner. Love this machine! I’ve worked out on it every day since I’ve gotten it!

I went back and forth on this purchase more than I’d like to admit. For context, I’m 6’0”, 210 lbs, and I’ve used the Concept2 rower quite a bit in gyms and training classes—so I had a pretty good idea of what a good rowing experience should feel like. I couldn’t justify the cost of a Concept2 for home use, and even some of the air rower alternatives were still more than I wanted to spend. I ended up choosing this magnetic rower mainly because of the price and the fact that it’s quiet enough to use at home without waking up my kids. After a few sessions on it, I’m honestly impressed. First off, it’s very comfortable for my size. I never felt cramped or unstable, which was one of my main concerns going in. The motion is smooth, and while it’s not identical to a gym-level air rower, it’s much closer than I expected at this price point. The biggest win for me is the noise level. It’s extremely quiet compared to air rowers, which makes it realistic to use early in the morning or late at night. That alone makes it a better fit for a home setup in my situation. One small downside: I do wish the foot pedals were a bit more stationary. It’s not a dealbreaker, but that’s one area where you can tell it’s a budget-friendly machine. That said, the handle design and overall foot positioning are actually very comfortable. I’ve used other cheaper rowers where the foot placement feels too narrow or the handle/bar is awkward, and this one avoids those issues. One more slightly negative is the location omg the reel. I wish it were further forward of the feet so you could get a better and longer stroke. Is it a Concept2? No. But it’s also a fraction of the price (1/5 or less with a discount code)—and for what it is, it performs very well. If you’re a serious competitive rower, you’ll probably still want a higher-end machine. But if you’re looking for a solid, affordable, and quiet rower for home workouts, this is a really decent use of money. So far, I’ve done 3 workouts on it and I’m genuinely happy with the purchase. If anything changes over time, I’ll update this review—but right now, I’d absolutely recommend it.

We first tried this rowing machine at our physical therapy office and found it very easy to use. That experience convinced us to buy one so we could continue our exercise training at home on our own schedule. Assembly was straightforward, although it does require two people to put it together. The machine is simple to use and displays your workout time, calories burned, distance, stroke count, and total stroke count during each session. There's also a convenient ledge above the display where you can place your phone or tablet. The quality is very good for the price. I know there are much more expensive rowing machines available, but if you're looking for a simple, reliable machine for home workouts, this one offers great value. Our only complaint is the seat. After rowing for more than 15 minutes, it can get a little uncomfortable and leave us feeling sore. We even tried adding a seat cushion, but it didn't make much of a difference. Hopefully, we'll get used to it over time! 😄 Overall, we're very happy with this purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable, easy-to-use rowing machine.

Had this for years now. Use it 2-3 times a week. It’s stood up to use by my whole family ranging in age and height from 9 years to 45. Compared to professional machines this is good for short people like myself so hence the 5 stars. I disagree with the metrics. It keeps time but I think the calories burned and distance are not correct. At this point in the game I just set a timer, turn on a classic album and row like I’m a Viking approaching an English coastline. It’s a space saver. Tip it on its top and it compacts nicely. Resistance settings are simple and easily changed mid row. Assembly was easy. Not 20 minutes as advertised. If your looking for an entry level rower and you tend to be a person of smaller stature it’s a good by.

Very comfortable seat. Glides smoothly and easily. Assembly was very straightforward. I took one point off due to one screw not lining up properly. Moving the machine is easy. Resistance options are great for a beginner. Doesn't take up a lot of space. I'm a 70 year old woman and am very pleased.

Me gustó mucho la máquina de remo. Es cómoda, práctica y permite realizar un ejercicio bastante completo sin salir de casa. En mi experiencia, el entrenamiento sí es intenso: sudo bastante y quemo aproximadamente 100 calorías por cada 10 minutos de ejercicio. Se siente el trabajo en brazos, piernas y espalda. Estoy muy satisfecho con la compra y definitivamente la recomiendo.

La esperaba con ansia!!! Desde que llegó la arnamos de inmediato y la empezamos a usar!!! Si es lo que esperaba, fue super facil de armar, todo venia muy bien empacado y con el instructivo bien indicado!!! La calidad muy buena!!! Y con un potencial de entrenamiento muy amplio tiene 16 resistencias asi que tenemos mucho para aprovechar en el incremento de fuerza, estoy muy feliz con esta compra!!! Y lo recomiendo ampliamente, haciendolo de manera correcta y aprovechandolo al máximo es un ejercicio muy completo!!! Gracias!!!

Excelente máquina de remo. Silenciosa, estética y puede guardarse verticalmente de manera fácil . Solo le cambiaría ese color café tipo madera. Pero se ve bonita y funciona muy bien para el precio
