Zeikos 52MM Tulip Flower Lens Hood for Nikon, Canon, Sony, Sigma and Tamron Lenses, Comes with a Miracle Fiber Microfiber Cloth

After reading several bad reviews about many 3rd party petal lens hoods, I decided to try my luck with this one since it was cheap and I had almost nothing to lose. I purchased this for my Nikkor 35mm f/1.8 because I hate how the round lens hoods that are provided look. This thing works great though! It just screws into the front of the lens, and you're done! It fits very snug, and you can even put your lens cap on without having to remove the hood, despite some other reviews. There is no vignetting at 35mm with this hood. If you need a hood for your 35mm lens, I cannot recommend this enough :)

This is a basic, can't go wrong, light weigh lens hood. It goes on and off the lens very easily, is durable and does its job. A basic tip for ALL LENS HOODS: when using my built in camera with certain lenses, the hood will create a very visible, unwanted shadow on the image. Be very careful to check a test image well for this shadow. You don't want to discover it after you've left the shoot and it's too late!

I spent a fair amount of time trying to find a compatible lens hood for my Canon Vixia HF M400. This coupled with a 43-52mm adapter ring works perfectly. It doesn't cover the instant auto focus (iAF) like I thought it would, and I can still see the text around the lens on my camcorder. Does not intrude in the field of view at all or cause vignetting. My camcorder even lays flat on a surface with this installed. It is like this hood was made specifically for my camera, very nice.The plastic is heavy and appears to be durable. This also includes a tightening ring so you can adjust the hoods position just the way you like while keeping the hood tight on your camera.The "52mm" written on it looks a little sloppy, but I have this turned upside down on my camera so I can't see it. It came with some weird plastic light scratches/defects on it that appear to be from the manufacturing process. They aren't really noticeable, but this is why I have taken off a star. What can you expect from an inexpensive lens hood?

This is a quality plastic hood that screwed into my lens easily and wasn't hard to attach like some other hoods I've gotten.However, it's not compatible with my 20mm Nikon lens as it caused vignetting on every photo I took. I didn't notice this until I got home and got the images on my computer. I was told it would work with the wide lens, but it doesn't. Probably would work on a 24mm, though.

I received this lens hood to replace the stock Nikon hood on my Nikkor 35mm f1.8 lens. When i got it, I was surprised to find that it felt better built than the stock hood. It screws on the front of the lens like a filter would, and has a ring clamp to hold the hood on. On the front of the hood, there are another set of threads so that you can relocate any filter(s) you might have on the front of your lens. This hood works and fits on any 52mm lens with filter threads. Great product!

As much as I love photography, sadly, I didn't get this lens hood for me. I got it as a gift for my step mom... I was a little disappointed because there wasn't any tracking number, so amazon couldn't tell me where it was during the shipping process, BUT it came a day earlier than the earliest expecting shipping, which was a real plus! (Especially since it was free shipping) She was super excited when I gave it to her, and she hasn't told me about any problems she's had with it. I'll edit this review once she's used it enough and if she's seen any differences in her photos!

Well made but when looking at it head on it doesn't look entirely symmetrical. Not a problem just a tiny bit off. Also I thought it was larger but it has proven to work well on a cannon camcorder with a step-up adapter ring. I would like to find something along the lines that a G40 uses mostly for aesthetic reason.

This lens hood sounds like it would be a good cheap alternative to name brands, that should work quite well on many wide to mid-range lenses.Only problem is the filter thread will never line up or thread into the lens, ever--I've tried it on 4 professional lenses with 77mm threads--will not work on any of them.Piece of junk and worthless because of a defective tooled thread mount.Could have been decent otherwise, but unusable with an unmountable thread.Also it's made of a regular matte black plastic, just like most lens hoods--not "Hard Rubber"--whatever that possibly means.

The product is okay if you are using zoom otherwise 4 corners are getting blocked with darkness. You have to corp the snap..

La calidad es buena, de plástico bueno pero como todos los parasoles que se enroscan donde van los filtros no coincide bien con elLente en este caso que es de tulipán no quedan alineados los pétalos a los lados y arriba del lente recomiendo si compran este tipo de parasoles que van en la rosca de los filtros que mejor sean redondos y no de tulipán, yo lo compré así porque es para un lente angular pero después compré uno redondo y le sirve más
