Look after your pond
Had this for a few weeks now and it's working fine, there seem to be two modes but no information what they are with the packaging. Easy to install and runs itself -fit it and forget it.

Essential in a heat wave.
Bought this during the recent heat wave which had my pond temperature rising above 30c. This air pump kept enough oxygen in the water to keep my fish alive.

Well I tried to make it work ...
EDIT: 4 days later it stopped working altogether and is on its way backThe description's English is confusing and the enclosed manual is a strip of paper with no instructions, so you're left to figure it out.On the base is an on/off button and a mode button which lights up when the unit is on : green gives 10 seconds of air then pauses for 10 seconds and repeats - blue gives a continuous stream. The unit is showerproof. It is quiet when running. My unit has an 18650 lithium battery which runs the pump and a solar panel to top it up; it says a fully charged battery can work for 16 hours continuous mode / 32 hours intermittent mode. The battery, if new, is known to have a life of 300 charging cycles (one year). There is no way of knowing if the battery has achieved a full charge, or is charging at all and no alternative charging method. It does not recommend using the continuous cycle for a long time, fish keepers may want to think about that. The unit is compact and has a white plastic insert to contrast sharply with your garden. The pump is on the back of the solar panel, there is no cable to extend the mounting distance from your pond. You can use the ground stake to keep it mounted 3 to 6 inches above the ground close to your pond, You can also find a wall / post that must directly face the sun and be within a 3m air tube route of the bottom of your pond to use the mounting plate option. The mount only allows the unit to be tilted up and down, there is no side to side adjustment. The low-quality easily-distorted supplied tubing is 3m total. I used just one air stone connected directly to tubing supplied and it managed a gentle fine air stream which did not scare my fish when it started up. I could not risk introducing the resistance of the T piece, second air stone or a backflow valve. Minimum air flow is cited at 1L/minute, difficult to know how it can be improved upon when it is being run off a continuous battery supply - it did manage to softly inflate a 1L poly bag in 66 seconds. 1L/minute sounds a lot but an average resting adult exhales 6L per minuteI get unreasonably annoyed when something that simply pumps air is described as an oxygen pump - why not call it a nitrogen pump? It is pumping far more of that than oxygen! OK, rant over ...I only need something to stir a stagnant corner of my pond. My previous solar / separate pump / no battery model lasted about two years belting out bubbles when the sun allowed, so I am hoping to get a similar result from this one.My instinct is to keep the box and watch the return date.
