My cat is obsessed with this toy. A friend of mine gave us one when we first adopted our cat (5 years ago) and he loves it so much we bought another. It’s very durable and the length is prefect for a bigger cat. Well worth the price and I’m sure I’ll be ordering one again in the near future.

i got my cat from a shelter; prior to that she was in a very poor living situation. i was told she didn’t play much if at all due to her rough start, and i believed it until this toy arrived! PLAY TIME: my cat loves to chase it around. i can get her going around and around in circles chasing it, and she loves to jump in the air after it. it’s also fun to dangle the ribbon off of a ledge and slowly drag it up, allowing the cat to pounce/“hunt” the toy. DURABILITY: she is able to grip the ribbon (which is about 4 feet long and is fleece) in her mouth and play a kind of tug-of-war with it, and the plastic stick bends to accommodate this tension. the ribbon has yet to rip or tear from her, we’ve played for at least a half hour each day for a month with this toy. i’m not sure how much tension it can hold as she is maybe 10 pounds at the max and isn’t a rough player. if your cat is the type to tear toys up, proceed with caution!! OVERALL: for the price this is a great toy and can get your cat to be active indoors! as a first time cat owner i am very pleased with this toy and how my kitty has yet to get tired of it.

First and foremost, I was initially hesitant to purchase due to all the negative reviews of cats eating the fabric tail. Although there is a safety warning at the bottom of the page, it is for a cat charmer that has feathers, which this one doesn't have (rainbow fleece tail). It should be mentioned that any toy that can, or even potentially be, a choke hazard should be put away, so your cat can not get to it after play time. Also there seemed to be a bit of price gouging as the price would raise and then drop suddenly, which seems commonplace on Amazon these days. Needless to say, since it dropped back down to a reasonable $2.94 I figured I'd give it a shot. For what it is the cat charmer does seem like it is a quality product. The wand is flexible and the fabric tail is about 4' in length and about 1" in width, perfect for a brawler, kill switch engaged kitty. The fabric tail is thin and while your determined kitty is knawing away at the fabric tail it does seem that kitty could most definitely chew parts of the fabric tail off, which can potentially lead to bigger problems, be sure to put the cat charmer away when play time is over. Overall my cat enjoys the cat charmer with the fabric rainbow tail and I am confident this toy will hold up for some time. In all reality you can easily make one but if you don't have the materials it would probably cost $3 to make anyway. It's simple, it's a classic cat toy, and fun for everyone.

Update: Our two cats still love this and the obsessed one (now 3 ½ years old) demands that we play with it several time every day. The original wand is still in excellent condition. I was having a lot of problems with my hand from gripping the thin plastic handle. This is a wonderful well built and safe cat toy. Original review: Both of our cats (10 mo. and 19 mo.) love to play with this, but the older one is so obsessed that he will find the rolled up wand and bring it out to let us know it is time to play - several times per day. It is well built so the fleece "tail" is in no danger of coming off. Had it for a month now and it is holding up well. Because the wand has a small diameter and the one cat wants to play so much I have had some aching in my arm. I am going to try to find some kind of handle that will fit over the wand. Also, they do say to not leave this with the cat unattended. I did one time and the cat was trying to eat the fleece I have bought three extra ones because I don't dare not have this and the fleece is going to get shredded eventually. Update on August 28, 2019. The one cat is still obsessed and demands this at least twice per day. The other cat also enjoys playing with this wand. Though I bought extra wands, the first one is still going strong even though the obsessed cat has bitten the attachment area many times, as well as the plastic wand and he pulls very hard on the fleece part. I have had no need to open the other wands. The other cat jumps through the air and hits the fleece full force. This is an amazing quality toy.

My cats absolutely love this toy. I sit on the couch and they surround me and wait to play. It's usually the highlight of my day. Not because my life is dull, but because my cats are just that cool. Wait, I'm supposed to be reviewing the toy, not my life or my pets. Um yeah, five stars. Cats love it. 👍

Our cat loved this toy. It seems sturdy enough, we kept a close eye on her while playing to make sure she didn't chew off any pieces. The wand is sturdy and doesn't feel like it will break. She was super obsessed though, we had to limit her time playing with it, and ultimately had to get rid of it as it was affecting her behavior. We've read this can happen so we were prepared to monitor, but some cats can become aggressive. Perfect if your cat isn't a rainbow ribbon addict.

If you buy one cat toy make it this one. Very enticing to hunt for your cat and sturdy enough to handle them going full force. Pretty fun to swish around for the humans too.

I would highly recommend the dancer rainbow for cat lovers. It has become my cats favourite toy. It’s is well made, a very flexible handle, long enough for my cats to wrap around themselves, light enough for them to drag around. Have saved the item for when I need a new one.
