Worth the Upgrade? First Impressions of PNY Elite-X SD Cards for Travel Photograph
I purchased these after buying a Panasonic Lumix ZS50 for an upcoming three-week overseas trip. The camera came with a tiny memory card, and I wanted enough storage to capture every scenic stop without worrying about running out of space. I intentionally chose two 128GB cards instead of a single larger card. My workflow is to keep one card in the camera while the other can be in my laptop transferring or organizing photos. That way I'm not waiting on downloads when I'd rather be out taking more pictures. Setup was simple. Once I learned my camera's menu system, formatting the cards was quick and easy, and the camera recognized them without any issues. So far I've only taken a handful of test photos, but the cards have performed flawlessly. No errors, no delays, and everything has worked exactly as expected. I'll update this review after putting them through a much more demanding test on an upcoming international trip to Scotland. #CuratedUpgrades

Value for the money
These are reliable cards with a very good price to performance ratio. I use these in my DSLRs and two smaller fixed lens cameras (Ricoh GR III and Sony RX1R). For videos they are good enough. For stills they are unsurpassed in terms of value.

Did Not Work With Magnasonic FS71 Film Scanner
I bought this card to use with the Magnasonic FS71 film scanner. It was recommended as an add on purchase. After formatting, SD CARD ERROR appears when trying to use the card for storage. I tried both cards, and got the same error message. I tried an old 8GB PNY card, and it worded just fine. I tried this card with my computer, and it worked fine. For whatever reason, it simply would not work with the Mangasonic FS71.

It's Made by PNY and It Works for a Nikon D7200
I have had great results with PNY memory and data storage products over the years. This seems to work well for a Nikon D7200 (these Nikons are a good deal used BTW). If you have a DSLR with a faster continuous shooting rate, there are other models of PNY UHS-I cards that have a faster write speed; not sure how much that matters. 128GB seems to have plenty of room for still photos (NEF plus JPG). Might want something bigger for video or if you do a lot of action photography.

oops
I meant to order a microSD but luckily I have card slots for both regular and microSD; this is the big boi card though! I haven't officially benchmarked this card but I was able to transfer a 500mb file through a USB-C SD hub in ~9 seconds, so even through a USB cord and SD hub it wrote at over 50MBps. I usually get about 1/5 of the read speeds for write speeds from SD so at half I'm not disappointed. This obviously isn't going to come close to a directly connected SSD for speed but it works fine for my Steam library and some video, I start backing up before I go to sleep so I'm honestly not sure how long large files take, but if you're someone who doesn't mind backing up overnight like me you really shouldn't notice anything negative about this card. At 50 MBps it theoretically should take less than an hour to fill but I have heard that larger files take longer to write relatively to smaller ones and I've never checked it once going to bed. Anyway, I recommend this card and I've considered buying only PNY products, they're dark and not flashy and pair well with my setup and they also work great. I was looking at some Corsair USB flash that looks crazy and flashy- the Corsair is faster but costs way more and looks too over the top and I honestly think only people trying to run Windows or games directly from their external memory solution would notice any sort of speed deficiency. This performs sufficiently for probably 90% of people at a good price. A Samsung T7 will get you theoretical 1gb write speeds but starts at 500gb for $130, I don't need 500gb and I don't need gig write speeds. Also, you can't use an SSD in a DSLR.

amount of memory not as advertised
This item has only half of the advertised memory available. It is formatted for 128GB, but after writing more than 64 GB to the disk random read errors will occur.
