Awesome set, but has a couple issues.
This set overall is fantastic. The action figures are great and look just like the show, quality is very high. Only problem we are having is that the grabber claw isn't very sturdy and has a hard time staying snapped in.

High quality construction. Characters look exactly like the show!
My grandson was over the moon with this early Christmas gift. The Octopod and GupA look exactly like the ones in the Octonauts show with great working parts. Very high quality and colorful too. The characters are perfect - looking exactly as they do on TV. Our grandson just wished there were more of them in the set so we bought him two more smaller sets for his birthday coming up in January! He'll be so excited! His grandparents certainly are. The set comes in a sturdy box that's perfect for storage.

I wish I had a picture
When my grandson wanted this Octopod for his birthday I jumped. At first I wasn't impressed. I thought this will be in the trash like a five dollar Family Dollar toy within a week. Much to my surprise it's been a month and it's still holding up. What's even better, this 6 year old boy loves it and plays with it every day. The durability has impressed me and changed my mind. I highly recommend the Octapod and I would buy it again.

Not the quality I expected
The media could not be loaded. We bought a set of 8 figures about 3 years ago and the kids loved and played with them to the point where the paint is flaking off. I caved when I my kids begged me for an “octopod”. I shouldn’t have; it seemed outrageous for $50. To be clear, I’m not naive and realize you pay for the branded toys. But the new figures that came with it are a different material than the original and feel flimsy. My kids seek out the older set even though they look creepy (lol). The Octopod itself is equally flimsy. One of the accessories pieces broke within two months of pretty light use (they are hard to get in and out !)
