Perfect fit
Our Electrolux washer would not work because we couldn’t close/latch the door as this piece was broken. My husband replaced it with this latch and for approximately $10 fixed the washer without the expensive cost of the electrolux service cost.

Quick replacement - But there is other work to do
Our door strike for our Electrolux washer broke after about 4 years of use. I replace the broken one with this one. It seems to have the right dimensions and appears slightly heavier than the OEM latch. A couple of helpful tips. The broken part of the old latch was in the electric latch housing. You can remove the two screws and take the keeper out. Unhook the wire. There are two screws that hold the keeper to the face plate. remove them and pry open the electric keeper (there are 4 latches) on the keeper which will allow you to remove the broken latch part. Please note that the keeper has a spring loaded pawl that must be retracted for the new latch to "seat". If the pawl is not retracted the keeper won't seat and the door will not lock. I used an eyeglass screwdriver and in the back of the keeper, pulled the pawl back until it clicked.I hope this information helps.

So Awesome Amazon had this
My washer died at the worst time possible. It happened on a Sunday, i ordered the part. It was here by 3 PM on Tuesday and I was in business 10 minutes later. So awesome. Perfect fit, easy install.

maybe not the problem
Our front loader was occasionally leaking under the door. Upon much investigation and $$$ I discovered the soap drawer was unable to handle the waterflow whenever my water pressure was at maximim. I'm on a well system. I remedied the situation by simply closing the water supply valves to half. Hope this helps a frustrated DIY out there.

What can I say, the part does the job is supposed to do...it keeps the door latched closed like it's built to do.
