Review: Exactly what I was looking for - I bought my father a landline phone with caller ID. He didn't like it because he said it was too quiet and that he couldn't hear it from outside. I purchased this product to try and fix that. I am very happy to report that it is very loud. It has 4 different volume levels. The tone setting is analog and can be varied within its range. I may have missed it but I didn't see that a cable was included. I purchased one but found out that it does come with its own cable. It is very easy to install and no batteries are needed. I am completely satisfied with this product.

**Q: can I use a phone jack splitter to add this to a single phone jack?**
A: Yes, you can. But you dont really need a splitter because it has an extra jack on it to plug your phone into. So... there are 3 options: 1) plug your phone into the ringer 2) use a splitter, or 3) plug it into a totally different jack in the house. All 3 of those will work.

**Q: Will it ring if the phone is plugged into a different jack?**
A: As long as you have it plugged into a jack.

**Q: will it workwith a wireless phone?**
A: as long as the phone uses a modular telephone cord it will work, whether it is corded or wireless will not matter, you will need to connect it at the base

**Q: Does it work with a cell phone?**
A: no it's for a land line phone

My gf has some hearing loss in the high freq. range and could not hear the ringer on the new phones (landline) I got for her because they had the smart call block. I thought this would be the answer since she really likes the new phones. Connected this, set volume on high and tone on low - nothing at all to her and I didn't think were that loud either. This so called "Super Loud Phone Ringer" is not even loud as the Vtech phones we're trying to replace. I was very disappointed in this product. Returned it and also the phones.
