I bought these specifically because they were hypo-allergenic and have heard no complaints from the woman wearing them who frequently has allergic reactions to other earrings.Quality control is lower than I'd like. Several clearly have different length wire wraps as well as different length hooks (you'll want to visually pair them before you start attaching them to your pieces) and on some the wrap tightness varies enough that the bead slides around (usually up to the wrap, but in one case, well past it). I've had one or two snap while I was trying to bend the hooks into matching orientations and I've seen a few that, even when not broken, are such different lengths than the others that I likely won't be able to pair them.That being said, since this is a 100 pack, you can probably expect enough functional hooks to make 40-45 pairs of earrings, and they look quite nice when assembled. The hypo-allergenic plating is also a huge plus.Summary: If you need hypo-allergenic gold plated hooks, these are a good deal but you shouldn't expect to get 50 pairs from 100 hooks because of quality control issues. Some bending may be required to get the hooks into similar orientations.

First let me touch on the boring stuff... Shipping - SUPER FAST! I got it in just a couple days after ordering!! And it was packaged extremely well, I didn't see any ding or dents at all in the packaging..Now the important stuff:These are great! There are a couple maybe that the bead on them is broken but over all I am delighted with these... I've started doing chainmail jewelry and these hold up my aluminium rings just fine. I haven't had any issues with the strength at all. I love the amount that came with these, and they are nice and shiny too! I cannot thank you enough for these! I am definitely a fan and WILL be back for more!

This fit the bill for the purpose I needed them. I have a ton of earrings that needed the hooks replaced and this solved that issue. However, as other reviewers have stated, these do tarnish. Although, I don't believe it's actually tarnishing, but the coating is actually rubbing off. For the price and bulk of the item, I'm not complaining too much.

They took a long time receive, directly from China. Some do need bending, however the price was right and they don't hurt my ears. Overall, worth the money.2/22/2015 Update on my previous review. I've since wore them a bit longer and the gold has tarnished and they have become very dark. Still fine with my ears though.

These look good and were delivered quickly. The problem is that the curved loops are so impossible small that each will need to be modified before they can be used. I think they are meant for very, very small and skinny ears.

I have bought these hypo-allergenic hooks in gold and silver. Some people are allergic to other metals. I help some ladies here by changing their old ones to these. These gold ones are made of steel and covered with gold plated (allergenic covering). I've had them for awhile and no one has had ear trouble since I changed them. They are easy to change over and the price is better than you'll find anywhere. Injured wing

Recently I've been having itchy, red ears when wearing earrings and pretty much stopped wearing earrings. I googled and discovered, hey, it's those cheap earrings! I bought a pack of these (super fast shipping with my Prime) and replaced all the hooks on my gold earrings and am now wearing earrings again. Solved the problem!

The product was okay. I would say 30% of them were different than I was made to believe I was getting. 20% were unusable, 30% not complete and 50% were fine.
