Was worried about this when I purchased it. This isn't the kind of frame you can easily unscrew at the hinge and then insert the individual pieces on either side of the top of the bag. I used needle nosed pliers to pull out the pin holding the hinges together. Getting the frame back together again was difficult due to having to realign the pin and hinges but I eventually go it to work.Good value if you are willing to fight with the hinge.

I haven’t made a handbag with them yet, but they are very well made, and I already know they will work perfectly. The spring action is just right.. not to difficult to open, but stays closed tightly. Highly recommend!
