I purchased this watch as a gift for my grandson. I found it harder than I thought it would be to find a watch that didn't look like a toy (power ranger or such) that would still fit a smaller wrist. This has a 40mm head, with attached plastic band that will fit smaller wrists (at least it fit a 10 yr old). I looks nice, seems pretty well built (time will tell) and is easy to set. It is water resistant but states not to press the buttons while under water. I like that it is both analog (uses hands) and digital. I'm not sure schools teach telling analog time anymore. The digital display is hard to read when the minute hand is between 5 and 7 as it covers the display. The three stars are because, it feels cheap (even though I did pay $14.99) and the watch had a price tag for 198 yen which is $1.75 and the watch was slipped into a loose fitting plastic bag.EDIT: 4/10/17 The seller reached out to me about this watch. Seller refunded full purchase price AND sent a free replacement watch. As with any item, I may have received a defective watch originally. My grandson has worn the replacement watch for a couple of weeks now and is very happy with it. That makes two satisfied customers. I give this seller 5 stars for customer service. The seller also pointed out that the price tag indicated a sale price of 28 ￥ (Chinese Yuan). At today's exchange rate 28 ￥ is USD 28.67For these reasons, I am changing my rating to 5 stars.

Gave this watch, in two different colors, to two boys of mine(6 and 8 years old) for Christmas. For the price, the watch quality and appearance is excellent. There are major design flaws however that parents of younger children should know about. I'm 45 years old, and have had various digital and analog watches since I was about 8. This has the strangest setting parameters I've ever seen. To change time or date - you simply push the bottom left button three times - even with a long pause between pushes - and you're in setting mode. Yea, isn't that great for kids? Then, pushing any button but the bottom right again, will create some kind of change. It has long memory, so it stays in setting mode. My kids mess it up at least once per week. One of them has stopped wearing it because the digital time is constantly messed up. My Casio watch when I was 12 years old had the year/month/date system PROGRAMMED into the watch. This dumb watch expects you to set the day of the week and actual day of the month independently - no year is programmable. My kids mess all these settings up, amazingly, every single week since Christmas. PM/AM is hard to see/figure out initially. Lastly, the analog and digital don't stay in sync for more than maybe 12 hours - at the most. That drives my older boy a bit crazy - so I'm having to re-set that all the time, too. If you have an older child less prone to pushing buttons/playing around, go for it - it is a very attractive watch. For younger kids, stay far away from this watch.

This is an updated review! The seller was very quick to reach out and supply a replacement, which I kindly tried to turned down since I had item a refund.... but they insisted they wanted my son to have it and try again, which was very generous. We were cautioned not to press buttons when in water, which could have been the issue the first time. I honestly don’t know. The second watch held up much better, and did go into the shower without incident. It remains big for a child’s wrist, but looks quite nice. My son even got a few compliments on his ‘fancy watch’. I applaud the sellers diligence and commitment to the customer - which is worth 10 stars in my book.First review:Very large band for a child. Apparently not comfortable. My son was so excited to wear this in the shower, but it fogged up instantly. I had it in rice for a week, but water remained and some functions no longer worked. Clearly not water resistant nor water proof!

This is a great watch for my 10 year old boy who is very active outdoors. He sometimes forgets to take it off and has taken a dip in the beach, swimming pool, backyard water puddles, bath water several times. The watch is holding up great despite all of those factors. I would recommend this watch for active kids!*Edit* - Almost a year now, and this watch is still going strong! My incredibly active 11 year old has worn this watch while kayaking in creeks, and on the beach and I am so impressed with how well this watch is still holding up.*Edit* - 1.15.2019 year 2 and this watch is still going strong! Still impressed! Although, his wrist is getting much larger so I will have to purchase the adult version ASAP. I am going with the same brand, if I can find one.

This is a really good watch for the price! I got it for my grandson's 11th birthday and he loves it! He had no trouble following the included directions for setting up the different functions and hasn't even taken it off to shower. It fits well and he has a bit of room for growth. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because of the color being much different than shown. The color is very dull and not at all bright as pictured. More of a dull medium green than a bright lime green. My grandson loves it though so I am happy!

So far it's been working great for my 7 year old boy with ADHD. We got it with the sole purpose of setting the timer to remind him to take his medicine at school. He likes it so far. I didn't really like the instructions it came with. They are a bit lacking but I figured it out. I wish there was a way to shut off the beep it makes every hour to tell you the time. It confuses my son who thinks that the alarm is going off.

Two stars because my son loved it when he got it, yet it is broken already. Really disappointed, if you are going to make something with the word "kid" in it, it should last longer then two months. The metal latch that holds it together broke off.9/20 The seller got back to us and offered to refund us our money or send us a new watch. I picked getting a new watch because my son really loved it and I knew a new one would make him happy. I upgraded this to 3 stars and after the watch last two months I may do it again! Hopefully this one last!Update.......This second watch ses to hold up much better. Son is still wearing it.

Mon fils voulait une montre numérique ET analogique! Je ne pensais pas trouver et pourtant! Bref, il adore sa montre et elle est parfaite pour son usage.Seul bémol, parfois, un petit décalage entre aiguilles et heure numérique.Mais je recommande cet article sans problème.

The item is not water proof it became faulty after a weeks wear and the digital aspect fades in and out.
