Wabi Sabi Art Style - Hot Wax, Cold Wax and Plaster

I am a beginner in cold wax medium and this DVD gave me some ideas how I can use the cold wax. Covering a wide range of techniques was helpful and the demonstrations were easy to understand. I would be more comfortable with a bit more in depth info and will be seeking out more information from Serena Barton.

I bought this DVD solely to learn about cold wax. Although I didn't care for her compositions, I had purchased it for procedures and felt I wouldI value the information.And then came the section on encaustic, which I know well as I have worked with encaustic for 14 years. The information on procedure was incorrect and incomplete. Absolutely nothing was said about the required ventilation a required safety measure.This made me question the information on cold wax.I cannot recommend the DVD. 2 stars was generous.

I love new art techniques even through I haven't had time to try this. Maybe I will have time when I retire.

I rate this a five star. As a total beginner to working with this medium, I found Ms. Barton's explainations clear and concise. The DVD was perfect.

Excellent book! I have been waiting for it to be released. The pictures and instructions are easy to understand and very inspiring.
