Tru Calling: Season 2

What a terrific show! How could it be cancelled? Ratings. Why would they do this to us loyal fans? Because they can. Simply put, I'm heartbroken that their is no closure to the story. So many questions left unanswered. I am hoping that somehow this makes a spectacular return to Fox as Family Guy did. They cancelled that show a couple of times in fact. Although it is a cartoon and much easier to bring back, I am still holding on to a bit of hope, although probably in vain. I think that it's cancellation was due primarily to it's darker content along with the time slot. And now there are several shows going with the dark edge to it such as Bones. Would Tru have made it if it were making it's debut now rather than a couple of years ago? We may never know but I believe that it would. If we can get enough support and cause some commotion towards Fox, perhaps we can get it back. I'm desperate...what can I say?

Great show but the second season is super short and I'm not 100% sure that it's worth what most of these go for. Come in great condition tho.

I really enjoyed Tru Calling on t.v thats why I purchased both season. I was, however, disappointed when I found out the second season only has 6 episodes and still is a cliff hanger ending due to the show being cancelled.Now,I don't know all the facts surrounding the cancellation of the show, but I would have appreciated it if they could have filmed at least a 2 hour final episode exposing her dad and the mole to Tru for the fans sake to tie up loose ends.The only reason I'm giving this season 4 stars instead of 5 is because the final episode wasn't really final. It was just the last episode they filmed and I would have REALLY appreciated them filming a finale. But I really enjoyed Tru Calling.

Every episode in Season Two is a gem. Now that so much of the backstory has been established in Season One, this season starts at a vigorous pace and never slows down.This season reminds me of the genius of Fatboy Slim or Brahms. The writers take the leitmotif of rewinding a day, and replay it like a fugue & variations so that we can enjoy it from every conceptual angle. Each episode expands the mythology outward in surprising but logical directions.Like the best episodes of Buffy and Firefly, you find yourself exclaiming in surprise at the surprise twists at the beginning, middle and ending of the episodes.It's a tru tragedy that Fox sabotaged the success of this series. I hope the actors and writers go on to do the fantastic work they proved themselves capable of doing on Tru Calling.

While I was sad this was the last season of Tru Calling, I am so glad to have purchased it. These episodes are so well done that I've watched them several times and noticed new things I missed every time.I'm not a fan of showing off how good makeup artists are at gore. This show has excellent makeup artists without the gore. While this show does feature plenty of corpses, they are not difficult to look at.I highly recommend this to any fan of mystery, suspense, supernatural, etc. This show has these and so much more to offer. The dramatic, comedic, and romantic will enjoy this show in equal parts.Davis, Tru, and Harry team up just like in Season 1. But the new twists have really drawn us in. I wish there was a season 3!

You don't have to be a sci-fi fan to enjoy this series. "Tru Calling" is about a young woman who is studying to become a doctor. She takes a job at the morgue not just for the money, but it also leaves her extra study time. She is shocked one day when a corpse calls her name, turns its head and says, "Help me."Next scene, Tru wakes up and eventually realizes that the day has "rewound." With the facts she has from the corpse, she is able to prevent that person's death.Her boss is a quirky guy who doesn't go out much. Her brother bets on the horse races and doesn't have a job but is always there to help her when needed.This was a really good show and I wish it could have lasted more than two seasons.

First of all, I love the star Eliza Dushku! She is totally bangin'! While I've never watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer (not into freaky Sci Fi) I do like this show, as it uses "urban themes," and no scary monsters jump out of closets, and all characters are human, whereas, Sci Fi likes to throw in freaky non-human characters.The characters are developed well, but the storylines are kind of goofy. Watching this show is like watching that recent remake of that TV show "The Fugitive." After a while, even the biggest fans are saying: "How the hell does she keep convincing folks to help her, a complete stranger?" But, this show is much more believable than "The Fugitive." And that's a big statement.Shows that get cancelled, than still come out on DVD, are quite sad. They set us up for this great long storyline, than poof. They're gone!I'll give this 3 stars. I have no idea why FOX gets rid of all the good shows it comes out with. I still haven't forgiven the station for canceling Dark Angel on the fans. Now it goes out of it way to cancel another good show? makes you wonder how much people care about there teen dramas (the oc)I bet that next on the FOX's cancel board.
