I recently purchased the Suswillhit 2-Pack Rain Barrel Spigot Kit, and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed. I saw these in a video of someone setting up a ceramic slip storage system and bought these with not much of a plan but these had everything I needed so I got these installed easily. Would recommend.

Buy them, if you are looking for this item, just buy it. They work well, and are way cheaper than any big box store. Yes, the thread tape is cheap and thin, just get some good thread tape. On the white piece i had to put a ton of thread tape on it to make a seal, but it does seal well. I put these on 2 - 65 gallon barrels and they work great. All plastic so no rust, the valves dont leak and they are super easy to install.

My rain barrels came with tiny little handles on the spigots. They were hard to turn. These replacement spigots have large, easy-to-turn handles. Overall, they are much better quality than the stock items. It does take a little bit of effort to install them. If you have a sealed rain barrel with no openings big enough to drop the rear connector through, you are going to have to drill or saw a hole in the top. You can always seal the top back up when you are done. Removing the old connector and getting the rear connector into the barrel are the hard parts - once you have that done, the rest of it goes together easily. I already upgraded a couple of rain barrels with an earlier order of these spigots, and I'm back with a second order for my remaining barrels.

We hook up a small water pump to the rain barrels when we want to water the garden and this spigot works really good because it has a larger opening to allow the water to flow fast enough that we can use a regular hose sprayer. Our water barrel came with a regular brass garden hose valve and the opening was small and didn't allow as much water through. I left the original valve in place and we use it to fill watering cans. I installed the new valve a little lower and on the side of the barrel. We are very happy with this valve.

This product is perfect for what I needed. I attached it to a plastic crate, added a small length of irrigation pipe, made a hole near the end, filled the crate with water and it waters my plants right where it is needed. Set and forget, too easy.

Works great. Little hard to install on a 45 gallon barrell due to the reach, but totally worth it.

Good for rain barrel. Need 35 mm holesaw to get the tight fit. Good price for a set of two. No silicone required.
