This grill/smoker is made well, and it was packaged very smartly to protect the smoker during shipment. The instructions were step-by-step, with lots of good, easy to decipher instructions that made construction of this smoker/grill very simple with the need of just a few simple hand tools you probably have lying around in your junk drawer! I had it completely done in just under an hour, and I’m disabled and in a wheel chair! If I can put it together correctly from a wheel chair, anyone can. After the grill had been properly seasoned, it has been christened with the first attempt at me smoking a full brisket, and after about nine hours is smoking it, I took it out of the smoker to rest before slicing this juicy 20-pound beast of a brisket, and it turned out fabulously! Juicy and soft, this brisket just melted in my mouth! If you decide to purchase this smoker/grill, you won’t be disappointed, especially at the price and quality of manufacture with this product! Jump at it - they don’t sit around unsold for long!

I've had one of these before and it is great to work with. Makes some really good ribs. I recommend also getting smoker gasket as it does leak a bit. Good value for the tag

So assembly of this unit was strait forward. And for the price I was impressed how everything lined up. I added "lava rtv & gasket" to every screw/metal to metal joint (as one other review on here suggested). Once assembled I seasoned the grill and sealed a few more spots (mainly the side fire box). My first smoke on this grill was a 3lb turkey breast, the grill did okay but struggles to hold temp. After a few hours I finally found the sweet spot of about 225-265F a bit higher than what I would like but its about as good as I can get it. Second smoke was a 4lb pork butt and it did pretty "okay" there too.The metal of the unit is pretty thin so keeping your smoke temp consistent is a challenge, especially when adding wood. I want to say this is a great grill for an entry level enthusiasts, but if you dont have much experience with fire management, this grill can kick your butt.I added an ink bird wifi temp probe, I put one in front of my meat and the other probe inside the meat.Final thoughts are, for the price & with some minor modding I think you can have yourself a pretty decent grill/smoker.

fair construction for the price I wasn't expecting miracles from a 129.99 offset smoker of this size. But I wanted something inexpensive as it's too tempting today to steal a more expensive one.Assembly was straightforward But the gaps after assembly were honestly pretty bad I tweaked it as much as possible but I was still left with a 1/2 inch gap in the lid "useless for smoking and temp control as is out of the box." I ultimately had to apply 3 layers of hi temp thermal gasket to one side just to achieve a seal on the lid.If you buy this smoker and intend to use it as one "buy 2 rolls of Lavalock hi temp gasket and 1 tube of the high temp silicone caulk along with it." To seal it up properly before using it for offset smoking.
