I am so happy with my purchase. I tried multiple green screens before. In my previous house, I had the luxury of a home office and nailed the green cloth to the wall behind me. That worked very well, but we had to downsize when we moved to a more expensive state. Now, my current office space also serves other purposes, so I needed more professional options (Incidentally, a nice room divider works beautifully too; I wanted the green screen for extra pizzazz in my presentations and to position my video in front of the slides.) Then, I tried multiple "chair" green screens. They never covered the entire background, even if I zoomed in my image as much as I could. Also, the chair green screens feel uncomfortable behind me, especially if they are larger (they feel like they don't belong to your chair). Then, I clipped the green cloth screen I brought from my previous house to a room divider. That "kind of" worked, but again, I had to move it super close to my chair, literally next to where I was sitting (otherwise, the real background would show up). I felt claustrophobic and uncomfortable. Finally, I ordered this one. It worked! I am not too good at setting things up, but it was learnable—certainly easier than closing those impossible-to-close chair green screens! It opens and closes very smoothly. It is large, but it fit my not-that-large room fine (just make sure you have the space for it before ordering). I was also able to move it a bit farther away from me, so the feeling of claustrophobia disappeared. Even with my older-than-the-hills Logitech web camera that I probably bought for 30 bucks a zillion years ago, the green screen worked fine (yes, I ordered a new Logitech that will mercifully arrive on Monday). There were no weird shadows, wrinkles, or anything to distract from the fun backgrounds I found on Pixabay and Canva (also, the software I use, call mmhmm, has amazing constant-motion backgrounds that feel very real). After I was done, I just moved it against the wall in a closet. Strong recommendation: Purchase this one instead of the smaller version if you can. The smaller these things are, the more you need to zoom yourself in and the closer the screen needs to be to your chair. If, like me, you hate having something just behind you (leaving you no space to breathe), you will need something larger. All in all, this wasn't the cheapest option, but at least it worked. I decided that when setting up my home office, the cheapest option just means purchasing and returning items a thousand times. Now, finally, this is it.Note: I didn't rate durability because the screen just arrived today. I'll let you all know after a few months how it works, but the quality of the material seems pretty decent.

I was looking for a green screen background to use with zoom to make my virtual backgrounds look better. The Elgato green screen fit the purpose very well. I wanted it to be easily stored when not in use, in addition to it being a green screen that does the job. This one fits those goals.I could tell the quality right away. After removing it from it's box, I placed it along the baseboard behind my kitchen table where I normally do my zoom meetings. It's out of the way there and doesn't interfere in the regular use of the room. When I want to use it, I unhook the two latches on the aluminum case, open the lid, and pull straight up with the center mounted handle. It easily moves to it's 6 foot height, and stays there. The pneumatic cylinders that assist in that, work smoothly and quietly. To lower it, I reverse the process and press it down from the center mounted handle until it is completely rolled back up and contained within the case once again. Close the lid, and it's done.I've seen others mention that the two latches that hold the lid closed, had failed. I'm going to assume that those latches have been redesigned since those reviews were written, because they appear to be nice and solid now.I've read reviews on look a like green screens, and while some may be perfectly fine, I see lots of reviewers state that the Elgato is the gold standard in these as far as quality is concerned. I tend to agree with them. Elgato is owned by Corsair, a company that makes other products such as computer power supplies, RAM, CPU coolers, cases, etc, for years. They have always been high quality, and I've used their parts many times in my computer builds. I also recently bought a Elgato CamLink 4K video capture board..again that item is regarded as the best of what is available in that category.I'm very satisfied with my purchase. It works perfectly, and feels like it will be durable.Edit: Sept 2021. I've been using the Elgato green screen for a year now, and I'm still impressed with it's capabilities and it's quality. I've carried it to remote events and have had no issues with the strength and reliability of the latches that hold the aluminum case closed.

I bought a different green screen on Amazon. It was cheap. It was impossibly bulky and huge. The folding kind. I am NOT talented when it comes to folding things that require a mathematics degree to accomplish. On the other hand, I'm clumsy AF when it comes to making complex folds and I could not fold it no matter how many times I tried. I'm not proud of that - just stating that folding one of those awful things is not a skill I was blessed with. Yes. I watched the online video every time before each attempt. Yes. I used the same orientation as the video demonstrated. It was positively infuriating. After 25 times trying to fold it up to return it, using the exact instructions in the video, I gave up, had someone else do it (who actually did in one try WTF), and it's on the way back to Amazon.So I bought Elgato's green screen. IT IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. It is extremely easy to set up, easy to use - and most importantly, easy to put away. Think of it as a reverse version of your high school teacher's pull-down presentation white screen. This is worth every single penny, and if you try the other green screen before going to this one, or are considering doing so - DO NOT waste your time. GET THIS FREAKING GREEN SCREEN. I am in love with Elgato's green screen, and I will praise their name from the rooftops for as long as they continue making it. It is THAT GOOD. THANK YOU ELGATO.

Pretty amazing greenscreen. It is very big, so measure your space accordingly. It's super easy to set up and put down. It also has great vertical coverage. It's not portable at all if you don't have the strength since it's big and bulky, but it is super easy to set up and put down. I found that it feels more stable than the smaller one and prefer that this version has a stand that clips into place. It is worth the money. Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding, I had to return my first XL which was PERFECT and had no issues whatsoever. My second XL one still works really well, but on the left side of the green screen I notice that it's not perfectly taut and the fabric is just slightly wonky which the software picks up on. This didn't happen with the first one I bought. Still an excellent product.

Solid 5. You don't have to assemble anything. You unpack it, unlock it, and pull it up. When you're done, you push it back down, lock it up, and stow it away. It's not difficult to do any of that, and Elgato made sure of it. I love this thing. It's perfect for people that want to make their background disappear with chroma key while streaming on sites like Twitch or YouTube. There are a couple things that I have a problem with, and most of it is just with me I'm sure. Nothing problematic enough to remove any stars.If I don't have it fully extended, there's a weird fade/artifact from the chroma. I don't have a problem fully extending it...I just didn't think there was a need to until I saw the fade. My room is small and I knew it was going to be a potential issue on the setup, but I didn't know to what extent. Thankfully, I have a second monitor to move my webcam to face a specific direction while also having the green screen at an odd angle because I sit facing a wall in a corner. Lastly, the green screen sits between me and my ceiling fan and it gets pretty warm really quick. Very noticeable difference when putting away the screen. So yeah...most of it is just a problem with my room space, but I got it to work.This thing is huge. Make sure to look at the dimensions in the description. You don't want to get something that isn't going to fit very well in the room you need this in. You could probably get a big green $20 cloth and set up a way for it to be still behind you. There are a lot of options out there and a lot are pretty pricey without the stands to hold the screen up, really cheap cloth material, or have permanent creases in them from the manufacturer folding it a million times and packing it tight. If you don't want to go through the hassle of all the possible BS and you know you've got the space for it, get the Elgato green screen.

The Elgato Green Screen is truly a great product. I really wish there were more makers of green screens like this one. I've been using mine for several months now and am ready to review the product based on reliability and longevity of the products lifespan.PROS* Build Quality: The materials used are of high quality and it still functions as well now as it did when I first got the product. The metal hasn't been scratched or dented in the continuous use I put it through. The mechanics inside are still sliding up and down silky smooth. I put it up and down for each use. The screen has not faded at all either.* Ease of Use: It is super easy to use as you can just undo the latches on the metal casing and then pull the screen up. The mechanics work so well you can do it with only a couple of fingers. Same with collapsing the screen.* Portability: Before getting this screen I used a chroma key cloth and PVC pipe to create my own screen and stand. This solution is much more pleasing looking and takes up so much less space. It also makes it easy for setup and take down.* Height: I find the height of the screen to be a great size for indoor conditions.CONS* Width: This is a personal preference so I won't dock it any star power. I find the width to be good enough to sit directly behind my chair with my webcam zoomed in. You won't be able to do any wide shots or use a widescreen capture with your camera with its current size. It isn't possible to have two people sitting side by side in front of it either. I do wish there were some size options, as one size doesn't fit all. I understand that larger screens would be much heavier and more rigid to move around but I'd do it. Especially to be able to fit in a second person or get some breathing room between my chair and the screen.*Feet don't lock: The feet currently are slightly tight so they don't completely spin around but they don't snap or lock into place when you get them into position. I wish they would so that they don't move on me when I go to the next side to adjust its foot.

I've been using green screen fabric hanging from a bar on two tripods for several years now. The fabric is always wrinkly and not straight. This screen is very straight and flat. The color is bright green and consistent. The whole thing is easy to setup. I had it out of the box and setup in 3 minutes. This is SO much better than the cheaper solutions.The only slight downside is that it isn't terrible stable when extended, since only a single vertical pole is supporting it extended. It doesn't fall over but it does lean a little.That it can be collapsed when not in use to keep the screen clean and away from damage is a great benefit. I don't think it would stay upright outside in anything more than a very gentle breeze.It is also really nice how it collapses and can be moved very easily.

Once extended all the way, falls down unless fastened up top.

Dudé en comprarlo por ser el más caro de todas las opciones, pero la verdad es que fue una magnífica compra. La calidad súper buena, llegó muy bien empacado, es muy fácil de abrir y cerrar, no batallas para montarlo y es muy estable cuando está abierto. Es pesado por lo que no lo veo práctico para viajes pero sí para tenerlo en un mismo sitio y moverlo de habitación es PERFECTO ya que se pone y quita con mucha facilidad y rapidez. Algo que me gustó mucho es que, como queda guardado en su caja, no se ensucia ni se arruga. Yo lo uso con la cámara de mi computadora y sí debo asegurarme que esté muy cerca a mi silla ya que si no la imagen sale de la superficie verde, si requieres más movilidad a la de un escritorio es posible que requieras otro tipo de cámara o un fondo más ancho. Es muy importante que consideres una buena luz que te ilumine de frente para tener mejores resultados.

The item is of very good built quality. The screen is very good - no creases, stands well. The green screen works well for what it's designed to do. With the feet rotated properly it stands up nicely. The screen is matt and not reflective.The item is quite heavy as it is sturdy. As such, I would not want to carry it by the case handle to reduce wear and tear. Other than that its a good green screen. Highly recommended.
