Any tips drilling into a fiberglass door?

Fiberglass doors typically have an inner and outer skin that are filled between with foam. Very easy to drill through. Make sure you go straight through...not at an angle. The foam makes a bit of a mess. A standard wood use drill bit is adequate.

Will it fit a panel door?

I think so. We have a wooden panel door and it fit great.

So I need to drill a hole in my door?

It must be drilled on the door to install it, unless there is a suitable installation hole on the door
