Good quality tool, replacement blades are costly.

So it's good for the price. The screw comes loose easily if not tightend enough and the blade could be sharper. The hole is also so small that it gets clogged easily, definitely good beginner tool but I would rather save the money if a beginner and get a really good one. Still like it and will use it for a long time coming!

I must have received a used one, this groover was dull as hell. Tore the leather not grooved, already have ordered a different brand.

I'll admit that when I first examined this tool, I had doubts that the cutting blade would work. It didn't look sharp at all. However, when I actually tried it on some scrape leather, it cut a surprisingly nice groove, without any polishing/sharpening the blade.The wood handle feels nice. The screw-adjustment takes a little getting used too and can loosen on you if you don't pay attention. I'm thinking I might scavenge an O-ring from somewhere to help hold the screwhead tight.The main thing I'd change on it would be to have a cutting surface on both sides of the L-blade. As it is now, it works much better for right handers than lefties. If you are just a dabbler in leather working, this will meet beginner to intermediate needs. I'm more pleased than I expected to be with this tool.
