Amazing and useful. I have tons of pencils many are unsharpened. It is able to sharpen any amount that I put to it. Removing shavings is easy but it is not accidental. The capacity is good too.

I bought this last summer and waited for the full school year to see how this sharpener worked out - and I have to say it is the BEST sharpener for the (very inexpensive, considering) price out there! I used to buy the big-name-brand heavy duty school sharpener with the blue light (if you know, you know) but this beats it hands-down now. It is very student-friendly even without a stop light, has all the pencil sizes & shapes you need - including triangular - and sharpens like a dream. The suction feet work SO well, too. The only trade-off I found was that the container needed to be emptied after each class set of pencils, but that slight inconvenience didn't bother me at all. I just prepped four class sets of pencils to set up for the fall and it sharpened like a champ, even the stupid plastic-coated pencils that we love to hate. (In fairness, it did jam *once* while sharpening those pencils, but it was simple enough to unwind the plastic and restore it to working order.) This sharpener will be my go-to from now on but it's still going strong so hopefully will last another year, and that's value that can't be beat!

I liked this electric pencil sharpener so much that I purchased it twice. It works very well and sharpens pencils quickly and evenly. This sharpener was recommended by a fellow color pencil artist. I loved it so much that I bought another for my art studio in another state. I no longer have to lug mine around on the plane with me and its quick. I have a bit of arthritis and appreciate the electric, plus the many pencil size/shape selection. It is auto-stop so I do not continue to 'waste chew' up my precious pencils and am able to get a very nice, long sharp point. The shavings waste bin is easy to remove and dump without messy shavings remaining. The suction does a great job. It sits on a glass covered table so gets a good grip. For the price it is an excellent value. *Bonus is the bright, cheery pink color. I get teased on that good heartedly, so I have decided to 'bling' mine out even more with some rhinestones just to show my teasers who exactly is the boss! ;-) Will have to share a photo I guess. Highly recommend.

Sharpens nice but there is a slight trick. If you lightly push a pencil it seems to jam the cutters and stop. But if you push hard right of the get go it seems like the rotating sharpeners struggle but it sharpens quickly and leave the pencil tip smooth on the wood and sharp on the lead. It is your standard loudness and doesn't take up too much room. It can take a variety of pencils but i have only tried your standard No. 2 pencil. Decent value and time will tell if that still holds true.

We love this Sharpener - the pencils sharpen in less than 3 seconds - it’s that fast and sharp , always puts a smile on my and my 2 kids faces . The setting for different sizes works soo soo well . We had some giant pencil colors for a long time and this sharpener revived em all ! The customer service is impeccable , definitely worth the money .

As seen below, I initially had problems with my purchase. After that review, I was immediately contacted by AFMAT sharpener representatives. They wanted to make things right. Ultimately a different sharpener was suggested (AFMAT Electric Pencil Sharpener for Colored Pencils 7-11.5mm, Auto in & Out, Fully Automatic Rechargeable Hands-Free Pencil Sharpener for Large Pencils). This sharpener truly does the job. Even more importantly, it is apparent that the AFMAT people want their customers to be satisfied. From my experience, this is extremely rare and worthy of support. I'm now a happy customer due to AFMAT's diligence. Thank you. (Following is my initial review). The sharpener will not bring the pencils to a fine point. It also often sharpens pencils off-center so that there is wood on one side down to the end. And yes, I read the instructions; I use the appropriate guide hole, but it still often sharpens off center, not always, but often. I am disappointed.

Unless the sharpener is broken, it doesn't work in the UAE. Has an American plug and I tried 2 different converters ... nothing. No sound or movement.
