Long Live the Pumpkin Queen: Disney Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas

As a massive fan of The Nightmare Before Christmas I was both looking forward and dreading the release of Sally's story.There was no need for dread at all. This is a brilliant read.It starts with Jack and Sally being married but Sally struggles with becoming the pumpkin queen and feels she leaves one prison for another, so she ends up exploring the realms.I won't give to much away but we do find out where Sally comes from and her back story.The way Shea has wrote the book is really in keeping with The Nightmare Before Christmas, and I feel she brings Halloween town and the other realms to life. It is a brilliant follow on from the movie and I do hope at some point in the future this is made in a film.If you love Nightmare before christmas I'm sure you will love this (and this is coming from a 40 year old woman!!)

I managed to read this book in less than 5 hours. I thought the book was alright. It had an okay start and started to get more interesting once the Sandman entered. However, once getting to the middle where sally all of a sudden has parents in a different world just seemed a bit daft, last minute and wasn’t really needed. The ending did however get better with Sally saving the realms, but the the sandman all of a sudden being a not too bad guy just again felt silly. Overall, I found the book not bad and would recommend as a quick read.

A wonderful story about Sally who became the Pumpkin Queen and had her own adventure to save those she loves.I would recommend this story for anyone who loves The Nightmare Before Christmas.

As a huge NBC fan, I have never pre-ordered something as quickly as I did when I saw that this book was coming out. I read it and finished it, the day I got it. Such an easy read, a great story and just keeps you interesting. Sally is definitely a worthy heroine, I absolutely loved it. I'd love to see more adventures. All hail the pumpkin queen!

This book is a great addition to the nightmare before Christmas story, very enjoyable and love that it is from Sally's point of view!
